wow, this is getting amusing. Granny-panties, i don't know what old school is? POD is oldschool? wow i have to say i think your a bit confused. As far as me being an alias for a bd guy that isn't true. I haven't really played competetively since 2001. Also as far as you "nade clowning" i do have to say i used to hand grenade people as a hpb i got SS-Valdez with his 30 ping using hand grenades only back in 98. So as far as you thinking your "nade clowning" is orignial, its been done. Still think beating makavelli as a hpb on dm3 > anything you could do. o ya btw TEN.net is where the old schoolers come from if you ain't pgl you ain't old school. As far as the demos go, i only come on this forum at work cause i get bored. Maybe one day i will go through my archives, but your safe now. Just remember this mr. i alias on my first game. besides my lil dmann folly ( <3 eric) i haven't used an alias ever. I use vanilla quake 2 and your right i'm slow as hell, but guess what i still have a great game even if i don't play in 6 months my first game is still tough to beat. I proved myself, a long time ago. I made prize money, how much prize money have you won? o thats right you haven't.

Hmm..reluctant to wade in on this one, but since Luci tested the waters...chip in my five cents,

1. Luci, I posted this superb dm3 match for ya(and other classic duelers) of some recent EDL#3 competition. It's a tense, back-and-forth duel befitting Luci aka {adt}Lucifer aka PGL-Diabolus15, whose dm3 skills rank up there with k9-Gloucester as one of the best to play on q2's most classic duel map(hyper=chain) Btw, ya Shaun(Valdez) used to send me his dm8 ffa demos all the time...i see hotnikks around sometimes too

2. I posted this demo to highlight the two different types of recorded play: friendly and tournament. Usually(at least on q2scene)both players give consent to post a demo, provided there's some novel shots/strategies and pov player ends up on either side of many interesting frags. If you look on that site, you'll notice that only the tournament demos lend any credence to opinions about players. "Friendly" demos are just that -- they prove nothing, least and ridiculously of all, as a basis for boasting. Regular players are always dueling and playing pickups, mindlessly one after another, not thinking "Man this might be a demo...I'd better play this "tournament" style best-of-5 across many different maps" Hence, q2scene's label practice "friendly" or "tournament"

3. When I reviewed a demo on q2players.org of Granny vs. Wafflez, I separated the mouth from the play and praised his loping, slightly sloppy movement but strong weaps skills(Apparently later, Granny now thinks waff is a "powerwaller"?) I just thought, like skullfukced, that's just his schtik, his way of attracting a little notoriety. Good. Q2 needs "the badguy" Now though, Granny has grown into this hyperbolic, delusional e-bully due in some part to all that have responded to him(including now me). Anyone who's read my reviews knows my favorite phrase to repeat:
"When you roll around in the mud with a pig, you both get dirty, but the pig likes it". I think he succeeded in that (and in some free cybercuddling). Q2players.org comprised a much more jaded, experienced audience, effectively neutralizing him, but Granny found an audience here and exploited it.

He definitely hasn't changed anyone's mind about "legit" players. Who would seriously listen to someone who basically recycles ad hominems with a tiny lexicon of "chump" and "random noob" and reactionary walling accusations. (Waff?? come on!) Actually I'd take Daelmun's opinion pretty seriously about suspicious behavior, since his goal of playing q2 isn't to "humiliate random noobs into crying" [my paraphrase of Granny's words] but to raise the level of fun for everyone and not treat q2 as a zero-sum game, where one person's fun must come from another's ridicule.

So let's all wash off the mud, Granny's had his fun(suckers!!!me included) and hopefully Luci's completely done fighting Al-Quaeda in Afghanistan.

whatelse.. POD was the first real server that was constantly full 20/20 which is where i played with the xeno clan for years. luci

okays so everyone (not you granny you don't count) gonna give it to you straight.

Granny isn't even close to the same level as dahang, what he says is just there so he can use dahang's reputation to get a little respect for himself and make a name for himself, which he is actually doing to a point. What he doesn't realize is that he is using force to gain respect.

Force is used when you either push or pull on someone else to gain ground. This means he can never reach #1 because he will stop gaining ground.

Dahang used the oposite he used power.

Power is when you build your on way up from ground up this means dahang can reach #1.

Dahang has established himself into the q2-na history books, unlike granny who hasn't. He now is trying to boast and brag and scream and holler to try and accomplish this in some form. I predict it won't happen. Dahang secured his spot due to his skillful play and for consistent wins in many different maps and overall play. He never has to post a demo from this day forward and people will always respect him and know his name. Granny on the other hand can't do that. So he is posting damn near every win he has against a known player in hopes to get known and throwing his shit talk along the way to gain more respect. Sorry to say this Granny, but it hasn't worked in 5 generations what makes you think you can get it to change? Just play your game, play well and ur respect will come. As of now you will be remembered as much as skullfukked is, which is about nil.

MAN i seriously set you up for a great post too, that was seriously weak. i'm really disappointed.
