q2advance has force models and a bright skin option in it I think .

As to brightskins, I did use those 'one color' skins, which were visible alright but looked so poor that I didn't use them very long. A while back I edited some of the most popular skins so they would be better visible but still kept some character. I basicly just made the arms and faces a lot brighter (yellowish white:) and upped the brightness of the bodies' main color. Works pretty well IMO.

One color is pretty boring imo, plus my females have colored hair;)

i dont think you've seen the current pak im using (if thats even what you mean by pakmod).. here's a couple screenshots cause i changed the hud/text since the first ss, i think its rather nice
