have you considered doing realm of steel rats (cpm4 i think?) by any chance? always thought it would make for a good q2 map

I always thought that was one of Q3's most memorable maps. That'd be nuts on a crowded DM server.

Just an idea... but you could maybe partner up with Unholy and figure out whatever he's been doing lately to mod textures, and perhaps add some higher resolution textures in certain spots. Not sure what that kind of thing might do to game performance though.

I used the Quake 3 textures with their original size, some are scaled on the brushes to 0.5 ratio (especially in the arched doorways), others 1:1, wanted to keep the r_speeds at least a bit lower. Nonetheless they go up to 1500 and more in certain spots.

With todays rigs and sourceports performance should be no problem.

The dancing MegaHealth looks fun, but a bug was found in the OpenTDM - there is a stationary platform under the MegaHealth. I would like to see a corrected version ;)

 I used a trigger_gravity to keep that megahealth floating. usually and in nearly all sourceports this entity affects only items and not the player, only in kmquake2 it does, afaik.

ah, gotcha ! tried it wit opentdm and got the same effect.
this func_wall is supposed to keep the MH in the air, before the trigger_gravities start, it is immediately switched off then and disappears.

did you only notice this behaviour in opentdm ? guess it is a bug in the mod.
maybe I have a look at it and make a opentdm - version, if I find out how.
