Feeling nostalgic...

Anybody feel like a night or 2 or 3 of q1?
I dunno if tasty is able to run a q1 server.
maybe if enough are interested it could come to be
I've found quite a few q2 players havnt even touched q1.
Its quite a learning experience, going back to the roots
I havnt had the chance to play anyone on my map in AGES
Perhaps when I move and b4 my internet is hooked up Ill have
the motivation to redo it in q2.

I'm up for this idea...if there is enough demand, I'll upload my 100MB FuhQuake installation...Quake registered version, fuhquake software and GL mode, CTF mod, and about 30-40 maps.

you made a map for quake1? im interested in seeing it made for quake2
i never liked quake1 that much, i tried it once before
the gameplay is just to fast and crazy for me
one of the reasons why quake3 failed it

I've never played Q1, though I think I've seen it being played like 10 years ago or something like that. Never personally played it though.

Never played it either. I got a computer in 2001...that's when I started playing q2. Never played a lot of games before.

Try this.
i use an older version of fuhquake for Q1 i think. not sure, but i have one. and i used to leave servers running 24/7 but finally dropped them in the last year or so.

I'm game, I played some q1 a few times, I really liked the nailgun xD
does anyone have a q1 server or what ?
btw: I've got space on my clan sites hosting to put up the q2 client files, someone would just need to send them to me
