Quake 2 PRO ADJUST GUN FOV

How do i set my guns Y distance i put seta gun_y in the config it sets right distance in single player, but multiplayer the guns too damn zoomed up, if there any way to adjust this so isnt so zoomed up to the screen? no im not talking about fov im talking about how far the guys arm sticks out or in, i can adjust it in single player just command doesnt work online gotta be a way to make it work online also anyone know?

I tried to put the gun right in the middle like quake 1. Works in single player, but I suspect multiplayer will not allow a different gun position and I think that is across all clients. Hopefully someone can correct me.

I'm not using q2pro, I'm still using the old fashioned R1Q2, and firing from the center (set hand "2"), partly because it removes the gun and hand from the screen allowing an unobstructed view of everything in front of you, but also because it centers the firing and makes a custom crosshair more accurate. Someone might have the complaint that "I can't see what gun I'm currently using that way.", but with R1Q2 you still have the current weapon icon sitting top center in the HUD, so if you use a custom pak with decent weapon icons that you like and can easily/quickly identify, then it isn't a problem at all.

As for Q2pro gun positioning, I don't know what command would do that. Perhaps it's somewhere in the manual.  :rtfm:

Oh, yeah, it's hand 0/1/2, but I meant in the centre with the gun still showing which you can do with x-axis whatever - i don't recall exactly. Multiplayer overrides my axis settings though and pops the gun to the side anyhow.

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
