NCAA Basketball March Madness Thread

Yes, it's that time of the year. You know, the time of the year I make a thread about this even though I'm the only one that gives a damn about college basketball. UNC is obviously in and projected as one of the four #1 seeds for the tournament. At worst they will be the highest 2 seed. For the two other college sports followers(although mainly football): Florida will be a 4 seed. Georgia is on the bubble to be invited. More than likely they will and snag a 13 seed.
In my opinion these are the best teams in the country: Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA, Duke, Louisville, Kentucky, and Villanova. Gonzaga, Arizona, Oregon and others are overrated. Look for a LOT of upsets this year.

Grayson Allen is a whiny, dirty, flopping douchebag
I have a lot of respect for coach K, but he does look like the Duke mascot

Yeah he's going down as the dirtiest and most whiney player ever in college basketball.
Here's a little compilation:

Theres literally 3x more of that this year, but here's two just from this week:

Elbows one dude and knees another in the junk. It's crazy that coach k hasn't nipped this behavior in the bud.

I'm rooting for Louisville and Kansas as usual since UMN sucks at basketball. At least we're decent at ice hockey.

Of the teams I listed Kentucky, Louisville, and ucla are the *weaker* ones. Anything can happen though. I plan on making a lot of money on basically betting ACC over everyone else(aside from the good non ACC teams I listed)and I suggest that y'all do the same. Literally free money. VA tech, wake forest, Miami , etc are going to be underdogs and they'll clean house in the first 2 rounds.

FLA was never going to go to far, but since they lost their lone "good" big man for the season they will be out even sooner.
I saw FLA as a sweet 16 team or even elite 8 before the injury, I don't think they will make it that far now.
Since losing their center they are 3-3 and have lost 3 of their last 4.
I predict that they will lost to UVA in the second round.

The school I went to, UNCW, plays UVA in round 1. UNCW had the most winning season in conference history in the CAA this year. They're capable of upsetting a lot of teams but I think Virginia will be a tad too much for them.

Click the link above to fill out a bracket. You can join various groups to win anywhere from 10k to 50k. There's always that chance where if you fill out a perfect bracket ESPN will give you 1 million. It hasn't happened in about 10 years lol. You can fill up to 24 brackets if you make an account. Just join the right groups before noon tomorrow.

Yeah I had them out in every one of my brackets lol. It looks like the only one I'll miss today is northwestern over vandy, I went vandy so I'm 7/8 right now.

Lol yeah. I had them out too in the first round in my bracket which I haven't finished yet. That's a shame that your school is out too in the first round. I'm sure though Chapel Hill will make it pretty far or maybe all the way, if that counts as a consolation.
Nice prediction you have so far with your bracket.

It's all good, I thought it'd be close but Virginia is a more polished team. UNCW out played UVA in most aspects but missed most of their foul shots, UVA making 90% of theirs. Wilmington also turned it over a lot, 4x in a row one stretch haha. Florida should feel lucky because although UVA is favored I think UNCW would've been tougher for them.
Right now it's looking like Duke v unc/Kansas to me, only unc has the tougher route to get there. Anything can happen though, Miami or butler can play the games of their lives when unc/Kansas aren't on point and both teams will be out.

If kansas lost him for the tournament it'd be bad for their chances

FLA 65 - UVA 39 I did not see that coming.
After that performance, I can see FLA winning it all.
Actually I doubt that FLA can beat Wisconsin.

They call it march madness for a reason. UNCW, who has an unfavorable style for Florida was eliminated. Same with Villanova. Florida will beat Wisconsin I think and make the elite 8. But good luck with Duke.
