NEW MAP ROTATION ON RAILZ SERVER PLEASE

Can we get the map rotation on railz changed? It's been the same for years and honestly I stopped playing there because of it. I'm sure other people can agree with me here that it's long over due, especially after seeing Alpha saying the same thing 2 years ago with multiple people agreeing. I truly believe the server will become more popular than it is now if there are changes. Hell, I don't care what maps replace the rotation, just anything different is good in my eyes.

I will go through the maps when i get home from work however the 2 maps that need to go are q2dm8 map too big with only a few people and kills the server. Jabs has to go too another server killer always has been

BTW, WallFly now supports skipping rotation maps if the number of players is too low. That never got configured on railz.

So if there are maps you like, but only with a minimum number of players, feel free to include that info. Example:

set maps/q2dm8/minclients 7


etc.

Nobody plays railz anymore because the mod itself is fucking boring, not because of the map selection. Just my opinion.

alpha or whoever decides to go through the maps..

i know i dont play on railz too often.. but when i do i prefer the maps with more wide open areas and less maze/hallway type maps.

some stuff to duck and hide behind is cool but too many twist and turns hallways i noticed clear the server out when it picks up momentum.

imo dm8, like dm1, gives a  (full circle) of player railz capabilities. Open maps give you movement and spawn rape practice, but you don't have hallway and corner prediction capabilities, No sneak attacks, awareness may suffer(noobies types, or u   do to map type..(open maps, box1(type of awareness and play style) carries into.. vs diverse rooms dm8 ( awareness should be advancing, angles become important,  luring, as far as corners or hallways go +prediction)) plus a lot of jumps and falling sneak attacks-unorthodox?    There are plenty of maps that carry these qualities and plenty of variations, But to see dm8 go imo would be a shame! There is so much to that map. Even 1v1 is badass imo on that map. This is my stand for DM8 to stay in the rotation.

DM8 has a lot of open areas.  The middle level near the chain and the upper near the power ups are the only really tight halls.
My agreement with beaver would be on any maps that contain mostly hallways.  As much as Alpha hates it, TLTF is still my favorite map.

Dm8 is warehouse right? I have always enjoyed that map too. It may be large but everyone knows their way around.
Which makes it not see so big.

Put brokenedge on the rotation, all the roof spots would make it more interesting than regular edge
