I am ashamed to admit that it wasn't until my late 20s that "To get to the other side." was a euphemism for entering the afterlife. I had always assumed it was just an anti-joke.

If you grew up in the 80's, you had at least a couple of those. Even if you never bought any, somehow they'd find their way onto your school notebooks or into your bookbag. The cards were cool. The movie fucking sucked though. There's really no way it COULDN'T have sucked. Some things should just NEVER be made into movies, and Garbage Pail Kids was one of them.
