all they had to do was use Lynch like a battering ram for 2 yards and that shit was done.

can't intercept what you don't throw.

 :ohlord:

True.

Statically speaking, the right play was called..

Also true... kinda.

Depends on what statistics we're talking about. You can talk about statistics about redzone success in a general random game sense, or you can talk about what was proving to be successful in THIS particular game for the Seahawks. I've watched a couple of Seattle games this past year, and it seemed to me like Marshawn Lynch was having more success running the ball and getting more yards per carry in this particular game compared to other games this season. He looked like a hot rodded dump truck smashing through a parking lot of Toyota Priuses. And anybody with eyeballs saw the same thing, which is why everyone is bawling about it.

But still, that particular pass play is a high percentage one. The inside receiver and the man coverage defender are "supposed" to be utilized as a bit of a basketball style pick when the outside receiver slants inwards behind them, leaving the outside man coverage defender with the choice of either coming behind them too and trailing behind his man, or crossing out front of them and still being separated from his man. Like I said though, the defender saw how they were lined up, gambled on what he thought the route was gonna do, jumped it, and it paid off huge.

Wasn't the first time Seattle had used a pick play like that in the redzone in that game either. On an earlier score, one of the Seattle receivers used the damn ref standing in the middle of the endzone as a pick, which is the only reason he got so amazingly wide open. You could clearly see the New England defender pitching a fit about it too afterwards. (I don't blame him either, it was a pretty gay fucking move and they should do something to stop that bullshit) So in a way, New England's D kinda already knew to be watching for possible pick plays getting called. Gambling on jumping that route wasn't a total shot in the dark.

New England played the run pretty well all game.  Lynch was hit at the line almost every play he ran, but he continued to break tackles and always fell forward for extra yards.  When you are on the 1 yard line and you fall forward it is a TD and you are SB champions  :dohdohdoh:

Even if New England was able to stop Lynch, Seattle had time to run another play and no way do they hold Lynch out from the 1 yard line on two plays.

Brady is a HOF QB and I like him as a player, but I wanted to see Belichick lose SO BAD  :grrrr:  He is an arrogant cheater who doesn't care what he has to do to win.

Not bad. 12 Mil would've been better. He's not gonna wow anyone with lightning speed, but as a battering ram, he'll get the job done on short yard plays. The main problem is if he gets hurt. 4 mil a year ain't entirely extravagant for a #2 RB in most franchises, but it's not exactly low either. Every little bit adds up and cuts into the quality of player you can afford to keep on your backup roster. And if I recall, he had issues that required surgery in the past year or two.

I've seen the projections for who Atlanta might take in the 1st rd. Most of them are a bunch of defensive ends and tackles who I consider to be forgettable and poor choices. One a while back mentioned the possibility of RB Melvin Gordon. I'd be very very happy with that one, but the chances of it still being in the discussion for them at this point are slim and none. They NEEEEEED a fucking runningback soooooo bad it's not even funny. And there's two excellent choices this year in Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon and Georgia's Todd Gurley, and sure as shit, they're gonna pass on both of them like the idiots they are.

And speaking of Georgia, I haven't seen WR Malcolm Mitchell listed anywhere as a possible 1st rd pick. Due to his frequent injuries, he'll probably be shuffled back into the later rounds, which means someone smart enough to pick him is gonna get a killer bargain on this kid. If he can stay healthy, he's gonna do some amazing shit in the NFL.

I'm not sold on Ingram yet. He looked pretty good last year.  Makes me wonder if he was playing for a contract or is just now adjusting to the NFL.  I've heard that he was injured most of his previous seasons. Who knows? Regardless; Thomas is the most complete back they have had in a long time. Pay that man.

How do you feel about the players your team drafted  :?:

Tampa's  draft picks were.
1 - Jameis Winston - QB - Florida State
2 - Donovan Smith - OT - Penn State
3 - Ali Marpet - OG - Hobart
4 - Kwon Alexander - OLB - LSU
5 - Kenny Bell - WR - Nebraska
6 - Kaelin Clay - WR - Utah
7 - Joey Iosefa - RB - Hawaii

I will be amazed if Winston does not screw up doing stupid shit off the field.
He proved once again on draft day, he is not to bright - http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/what-was-the-backstory-behind-jameis-winston-s-crab-legs-photo-151722171.html

Tampa needed help on the O-line and they could use another WR opposite of Mike Evans so they attempted to cover that issue.  The defense was below average last year, so I would of drafted a couple more defensive players.  Tampa did not have much of a pass rush last year, so that should have been a priority and it did not happen.

It is way to early to see how this draft will work out, but I give TB - C+ on their selections.

He can't be any worse than Johnny Manziel. Then again... he's black... so maybe he can.

GOD DAMN, FUCK ME, THAT WAS RACIST AS SHIT! :ubershock:

But seriously, I don't put ANYTHING past ANYONE in the NFL no matter what fucking color they are. Murderers, wife punchers, you fucking name it. No shit, there's one of those blotter sites somewhere with the names of all the NFL players who get arrested and what they're arrested for. It's fucking crazy how many there are per year. At this point we should stop saying, "He's not a good role model for kids." when any one particular player gets highlighted in the news media for some arrest. Because 40 more within the previous and upcoming 60 days will get arrested for shit just as bad, but it won't make the news. Statistically speaking, MOST of them are obviously dumbasses who can't avoid trouble. And you wonder why Michael Vick came back? Or why Ray Rice will "probably" come back? Because the shitheads running the NFL are entirely used to it and desensitized by now. :D Shit, if for some reason Aaron Hernandez got off on one of those OJ Simpson technicalities, I have little doubt that the NFL would back him up in his claims of "innocence" and reinstate him. They don't give a shit about shit anymore as long as it works out to profit in the end.
