It's been a fairly long time since I've seen anyone using the coop2 and coop3 servers. I tried going there just a minute ago, and neither one would load whatever the current map was. Can you have Senator Lindsay Graham take a look?

It's still not loading the map for some reason.

Rather than simply do a condump like a normal person, I did shit bass-ackwards like a good Republican and took screenshots of the console text instead.

coop2 runs +set game zaero, and coop3 runs +set game rogue.

Are those folders (rogue, zaero) and corresponding expansion pak files still present in your Q2 installation?

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaapparently not.

Weird. Purty sure Mara-coop uses rogue and zaero and I've never had an issue there.

A have a "coop" folder with pak0.pak (17.4mb).



Doubt that explains anything. So... I guess what you're saying is I'll need the pak files from those expansion pack original CD's? I think I have an old torrented copy of both expansions on some CD-R's around here somewhere. Maybe that's what  7-9-2014 is about on some of those folders. Perhaps I had it loaded on my old WinXP pc but never re-installed it when I got this Win7 pc many years ago.

edit:
Found 2 discs. One labelled "Quake2 - Mission Pack 1 - The Reckoning", the other says "Quake 2 - Mission Pack 2 - Ground Zero".

Was not able to install it from the CD's auto-install, as it said something about uninstallshield needed be turned off or something. I copied the "data" folders from both CD's though. Looks like MP1 is Xatrix and MP2 is Rogue... so what the hell is Zaero? is that another expansion that I don't have?

I copied the pak from the Ground Zero MP2 disc to the Rogue folder and was able to join coop3.

Still can't join coop2. Hints or suggestions?
