The 12th season of the European Duel League has just started. Signups are open until September 29th.

Contrary to the name, any player for anywhere is allowed to sign up and I encourage you to do so!

Login to q2scene.net (or created an account first if you haven't already) then click on the "sign ups" link in the main menu for edl: http://q2scene.net/edl/index.php?op=sign then there is a button called "sign up" at the top of the page, hit that button if you want to sign up.

4.2.5 Players have the right to refuse to play on non-European servers

its Welkin rule and it never was used before in EDL added in same time last seasons with Welkin home map rule= q2dm2 must be played in EDL...

I was very disappointed with situations where eu "players" refused to respect elementary fair play *

Well, it makes a lot of sense since the whole league is European. Considering that fact, the admins could bar foreigners from competing period, but they are nice enough to let us foreigners play. Personally, I've seen worst h/a disagreements among EU players (non-EU Sniper gets an honorable mention) but maybe that is just my experience. As for myself, I'm not worried since I ping okayish to EU compared to other US players.

Also, IIRC dm2 made it somehow to the map pool twice because people voted for it. Hence my joke on q2scene.net. :p
