BTW, this is called "quick cup" because the matches are 10 minutes instead of 15. I just figured that people wouldn't want to play a million matches in a short period of time, with 15 minutes. I'm willing to change that however if the demand for it is there.

15 is default for any competition standard

10 is only what is on the servers becaues people vote it to 10 for quicker matches... quake2, quake3, and quake4 were always 15 in competition

only quakeworld and quakelive have 10 minute standard for serious games

you only have six players, get a couple more people

some one like random who is fairly new to dueling would be a good fit in here... and i know there is a couple other players who play in the same kind of skill group on the servers who don't hit the forums often

I'm happy with the current roster. I'd gladly add more players that would fit the skill level for this competition, but unfortunately I don't think anyone else that fits that criteria is interested.

the likelihood of picking up two additional novice bracket participants should be a nonfactor... you're good, all systems go.

It's very unlikely that I'm willing to mess with the map pool, especially considering that this event is only days way.

EDL's map pool is too large and there are many random maps that people probably don't even know how to play (e.g. q2dm2, q2rdm1, q2dm7). That is why I tried to pick the most played and popular duel maps in NA (q2dm3 is not there but it didn't make the cut this time) for this cup.
