tried going to gumbys today but i keep getting kicked, at first it said 'random changed cl_pitchspeed to 200' and kicked me, so i removed that from my cfg, and its still just kicking me without any message...

anybody else have this prob? or am i missing some sort of pak for this?

edit: now its saying im trying to flood the server...

cl_maxfps is set to 90 and r_maxfps set to 90 also.. WTF

that happened to me more than 5x yesterday.. i tried to wait it out for a while and when i got in i didnt immediately move for a minute and after that it was ok.

ps.. maybe stingray is in the better position to answer that since hes the admin.

Glad you are enjoying Gumbys.

I will try to update q2admin and see if that corrects the issue in next day or two.

Strange the issue is only happening to a couple of people.

I will let you know when I have made the changes.

yup! right away...i did manage to get a few rails in tho in the multiple 5 seconds i was in

First thing, learn to use the quote system correctly. :p

Second, Ely's mod is aq2. Not his mod, per se, but the one he's trying to get everyone to play. :>

Gumby's isnt gay, any mod that starts me out with a railgun is ok in my book

The fact regular rails go thru walls is a plus too.

Hello Everyone!

First off what is Gumbys Server running? I get this asked daily.

The server runs a very old mod called competition weapons. The mod is basically server side.

There is however one configuration file if you wish to make use of the slow gay grapple.

You would need to download the mod in order for this to work. You can download it from my test website at http://raz0rsedge.com/comp.zip

This is the entire client mod for competition weapons and will have the needed autoexec.cfg file with commands for grapple. Make sure the autoexec.cfg file is placed under quake2/weapons folder. Obviously if you already have an autoexec.cfg file you would just copy the needed entries into it.

Also this mod does not have spectator mode currently. I'm not sure why the developer failed to leave this out and there is no source files to fix it. So even wallfly can be killed once. LOL

I am working on installing an addon called gamecam which will give you spectator and chase cam, but so far I am having issues with it. I will keep you updated on my progress.

Also you can vote maps. Simply type this in console: VOTE MAP Q2DM1 as an example. In order to approve the vote you will need to type VOTE YES or VOTE NO. You cannot just type the word yes or no, you must have the word vote in it.

Also there is decoys in the game that can be fun. Simply BIND whateverkey DECOY.
