timelimit restrictions..

is there a reason why there is a 35min timelimit? i didnt bother searching for a thread since im lazy

anyways, can it be removed? or increased to a higher value....this 35 min is driving me nuts. i like to play really hard maps(eg. forbidden/adren/stubbsy series) and ive found myself really close to timing and loosing my place due to time running out so thats kinda fucked....not to mention u have to vote 5 maps after that in order to play it again...

I'd be with you to increasing it to maybe an hour, but not removing it completely. One of the things I hate about german jump is that they like to play the same map for OVER THREE HOURS AT A TIME, and since they removed max vote as well, if you don't want to play the same map, you can't do shit about it.

A map's gotta end sometime. Besides, you can just nominate the same map if you run out of time.

I doubt it'll get changed just due to the fact it's been that way for years afaik.  So you'd prolly be better off starting a (serious) poll in the jump mod section on this forum asking/aiming towards all jumpers, like "Should the 35 minute time limit be increased, should it not", and have a discussion in the poll about what it should be raised by.  That way you can get feedback to see if everyone is on the same page as you as it's gonna take more than just you wanting it changed, for it to be upped.  Get the regular jumpers to post their take on upping the time limit and if they are on the same page to entice quadz to change it so that it doesn't make everyone angry over one persons request, when they were perfectly fine with the time limit already set in place.  Hopefully this made sense, but that would be the better approach to this as there are a bunch of other people who play jumpmod besides yourself ya know and all of the regs might now want it changed.

the only people i ever see there are masta, creepz or myself, sometimes dem1se and i dont think they really care.

I dont see how removing max vote will affect it in any way...thats what the vote is for to see if people want to stay or move on...the times ive been to german and they have that unlimited time shit is when they have new hard maps to play tbh it dosent bother me at all unless its some gayass map (like the rar3 ones)...

But yeah, a poll would be fine. I've no objection at all to raising the timelimit if that's what players want. As far as I can tell, these are just default values:

IIRC you have to wait a map for that to work. Not exactly a perfect solution. That is unless your an admin. :p

The voting time could definitely be increased to like 45 minutes - hour, not that it should be 45 minutes right away, but making it possible to vote would be nice! Although, we usually nominate when we need more time, right creepz?
