Shopping. It's true...it's so FNTrue!!!!

Last time I went shopping with my GF she spent 2 hours prancing around from shoe store to shoe store. She never tried on any of the other shoes she was looking at, she just wanted to hold them.

You can fix that. Take her shopping for something you like and she hates. After 4 hrs with me picking through guitars at a music shop my gf said "Please, let's go! I'll never ask you to go shopping again."...and she hasn't.

I agree with Geikram, I do take a LOT of time shopping and Ben is usually with me when i go. On the other hand, when he brought me to a guitar store and well just after being 5 minutes in there i was thinking alright i already saw all the guitars and stuff can we leave now? =X I guess i understand why ben is usually dragging his feet when he comes shopping with me especially for a whole new wardrobe. haha.

And Sig you should watch out what you say to her your girlfriend and consider her feelings. If she loves to shop as much as i do, the reason why she takes her time looking around and why she brought you along is probably because she wants your advice on what she's buying and its probably really important to her. I know when i go shopping with ben i always ask him what he thinks and i take a careful amount of time to deciding what i want because i want the best and what looks nice on me so i can prolly impress him after or something.

Here's a recent case example.

She was in C&K Purses in Pacific Center Mall and couldn't decide whether to buy this 3 chambered purse for after her Grad from UBC. She wanted to use it for work, one of the larger chambers *could almost fit a legal sheet of paper.

I was getting frustrated and left the store. Across the mall was a Shoppers Drug Mart (a convenience store / pharmacy) so I bought a 3 ring binder and brought it over to the purse shop.

Now, the second I left the store two other saleswomen "surrounded" my GF and proceeded to try and sell her on this $450 monstrosity. I whip out the three ring, put it into the largest segment of this purse and TAH-DAH!!!, it wouldn't fit.

She spent 1.5 hours there.
We have come to the agreement that the only time I'm going to go shopping with her is when, as Maddy says, she needs to know my opinion on something. BUT!!! She has to respect my opinion and know that I know best at finding what she needs/wants in practicality instead of what looks good infront of the boutique mirrors and lighting.

I have formulated this cynical, but not serious, observation on women shopping.

Yes it is true that when we go shopping we tend to over exaggerate but if we ask our boyfriends to come its not for them to get grumpy at us and be unconsirate about our feelings. If ben would tell me how he hates shopping with me cause i like to try EVERYTHING on and because i stop here and there to look into windows then i would feel incredibly horrible.

Btw i would just like to point out that it is HARD to make a decision on what you want to buy because, when i enter a clothes / shoe / purse store or W.e I want EVERYTHING there is but i can something only buy a few... items. Usually ben stays with me when im shopping and he looks at what i seem to want and i bug him a lot to comment on what he thinks about a certain item.

Anyways point to this, your girlfriend probably those respect your feeling / opinion but i think you have to work on being patient when you go shopping with her. It wouldnt hurt to stop somewhere you both like let's say in the middle of your shopping day. I derno a pet store computer w.e
