My Superbowl prediction from page one of this thread.  I'm still alive with my prediction, but I am not feeling good about Balt at NE.

Super Bowl
SF beats Baltimore 21-17

I'm gonna call New England for today's late game. Brady's gonna finger Baltimore's momma. New England by 14 points or more.

Nah. Tom Brady and the Patriots will run the train on San Fran now that Belichick has tape of Atlanta shutting down Kaepernick and the run option. They might not stop San Fransisco from scoring on every possession, but San Fransisco sure as shit ain't gonna be able to handle Brady's up-tempo passing offense.

Playoffs......pLaaayoffs???!?!!!!???  The Saints couldn't even make the playoffs this year, so how happy and apt to gloat am I about the Atlanta defeat today? None.  Well, maybe a little.   :P  It was a great game and filled with some beautiful long range passes. Gonzalez, DO NOT RETIRE!  Jones and/or White, see you in another town soon.

Near half at the Baltimore/N.E. game  and its a low scoring contest.  I think that works in the Ravens favor setting up the brother VS. brother Super bowl. I think it may happen...but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.   ;D

Gonzalez, DO NOT RETIRE!

I agree. He's playing better now than ANYONE with 10 years or less in the NFL at his position. Really hope comes back for one more year. But it's highly highly doubtful that he will. His wife and kids kinda have him by the balls on it. From what he's said, he's "promised" his kids that he's gonna retire and play daddy from now on, so it's hard to believe he'll take it back.

Jones and/or White, see you in another town soon.

DISAGREE! DISAGREE! They gave up way too much to get Julio Jones in the first place, they aren't gonna trade him away now that he's finally given them the results they've been looking for this season. I also highly doubt Roddy White will be going anywhere anytime soon. He's the highest paid player on the team, probably the #1 fan favorite, and he's too good of a weapon to give away and let him get used against them. If anyone's getting cut loose, it's gonna be Michael Turner. I could also see them maybe trading away some of their better defense players like Dunta Robinson, Akeem Dent, maybe even Brent Grimes if they feel it's worth it. They've got almost everything needed at the moment for a full package. In my opinion, they should try making some moves at the offensive line. Part of the reason Turner hasn't produced this year is because the line has been getting tossed around too easy. They aren't handling the guys coming at them and opening the spaces where they're told to so that Turner can slide through. But even if they WERE, Turner's just too damned slow to be a runningback anymore. When he gets past everyone, they always end up running him down... CUZ HE'S FUCKIN' SLOW! My nickname for him all season has been Michael "Slow-Mo Tip-Toe" Turnover, because he runs like he's in slow motion and he always slows down and tip-toes up to the backs of the offensive line because he's afraid to blast his way through them. The "Turnover" part I gave him last year though, because he always had a brilliant knack for fumbling and turning the fucking ball over at just the perfect moment to completely fuck the game for his team. It's a damn shame really. 3 or 4 years ago, he was kicking the shit out of defenses. I ended up spending 100-something bucks on a Michael Turner #33 jersey at a game that year too. I wouldn't be caught dead in that shit now though.

:lolsign:

I wish I was making money on my prediction  :raincloud:

I thought Atlanta was going to win, they started off on fire.  It is probably better that they did not win, because I think Ryan's shoulder is messed up.  I would not want to see him get there and not be able to play at 100 percent.

It was nice to see NE lose  :bananaw00t:
That hit on Ridley was brutal, he was out.  When the arm react that way, you know its bad.

Yeah, I called that one like shit. Holy hell, New England wasn't fingering anyone's momma.

That hit was fucking harsh, man. POW! Lights - the - FUCK - OUT!!! Dude just ragdolled up on himself.

Can't be upset at all with the way the Atlanta/SF game went though. They actually led most of the game and surpassed my expectations. That late 4th catch by Harry Douglas that got reviewed... I seriously doubted that they were call it a completion, but for some reason they did. They probably shouldn't have, and Harbaugh was PISSED about it too. I can see why. The tip of the ball did appear to touch the ground as he rolled over. So with that one going Atlanta's way, I can't in good conscience complain about any uncalled holding penalty or roughing the passer penalty after that. There a few that didn't get called on both sides, so it balanced out. At least it was an interesting competition to watch... unlike the Patriots getting pimp slapped. That was not exactly an exciting finish to watch unless you're a Baltimore fan.

Post if you hear something about Ryan's shoulder, he was definitely hurting after that hit.
He probably seperated it.

Jones lived up to the hype and showed why Atlanta gave those picks for him.  Its a shame Gonz is retiring, he still is on top of his game.
If Atlanta could get a descent running game, they would be deadly.
If Atlanta could get a couple of all-pro linemen and Adrian Peterson they would be set

Boldin was a beast in the Balt/NE game, He don't out run anyone, he just manhandles DB's.
If he does get behind the defense, it is usually because they try to hit him coming off the line and they get the worst of it.
Its crazy to think that he was a QB when he came to Florida State.

Its crazy to think that he was a QB when he came to Florida State.

People initially reported that he had separated his shoulder, but earlier today coach Mike Smith did a press conference and stated that it was merely a sprained left shoulder and not separated. He also said that had the Falcons won the NFC Championship, Ryan would've been ready to go by the time of the Superbowl, but would've missed the Pro Bowl. Smith went on that say that as of now, he's still going to miss the Pro Bowl and will be going through rehab for his shoulder for another 3 weeks. So I guess that means that Ryan wouldn't have been 100% healed from the sprained shoulder but would've played anyway. So chances are he would've gotten hit or knocked down, reinjured himself, and would've been benched in the middle of the game. Not a good situation for him with a line that can't protect any better than they do.

Personally, if I were running the team, I'd be wary of hiring someone like Adrian Peterson. I mean the guy has put up some absolutely amazing stats this year coming back from a career ending knee injury, but I would be afraid to risk spending that much money on someone who has been seriously injured before. Atlanta's kinda cursed at runningback. We've had several pretty good ones over the past 10 or 15 years, guys like Jamal Anderson, Warrick Dunn, Jerious Norwood, Michael Turner, but they always seem to get injured and ruin their production right when things start looking good. Next year, I want to see them bring in some crazy, young, and dumb rookie who's taller than 5'10" and has no fear at all of hitting people. Maybe if they can get someone like that soon enough before the WR's start getting cut or traded, they can have all the pieces of the puzzle at once and finally start dominating rather than merely beating people.

Maybe grab Lacy from Alabama, he is a big back who is not afraid of contact.

Nah, Lacy would probably be a top 10 pick in the first round. Dunno if Atlanta even GETS a 1st round pick this year. Remember, they're probably still paying for all the draft pick trades they made to get Julio Jones. Dunno how true this is, but Haunted keeps telling me there's rumors that Atlanta might pick or trade for Gio Bernard from UNC.
