Whether it was right or the wrong thing to test David by recording himself playing, these extraordinary requirements to prove suspected players as being legitimate is unfortunately a common scenario faced by the player who rise to the top quickly. In such difficult games like Quake where the skill gap is large and the competition is harsh for newer players, some people will have doubts or suspicions that such a new player is able rise above that gap without having something a little "extra" to help do so. For recent example of another player who went through this same kind of ordeal, would be Juvenile. Not too long ago the young QL player was suspected by many players to be using wallhack as he was hitting too many prediction rails online, also on great players, and due to him reaching such a high level in QL TDM with only two years of play (although he said he was a CS player). It wasn't until he played TDM at Dreamhack Summer 2011 until people recognized him as the legit player that he is, as he also played at his same skill level on LAN-hitting the same crazy shots, and having the same high accuracies that he did online. Unfortunately for the skillful but "new" players, they end up having to prove skills on LAN when their legitimacy is questioned.

As for the clips looking suspicious, sometimes you just see things that look suspicious when they just turn out to be coincidences. I spent like 45 minutes before making this post trying to find this one video that had clips of top QL players like Rapha and Cypher reacting to opponents behind walls in ways that looked as if they were playing with a wallhack, but we know that  they clearly don't use cheats. I would have mentioned this earlier on in this thread, but I also had no luck finding it back then. If I find it I'll post it up. But yeah....sometimes weird things just happen in-game that look suspicious but truly aren't, and there's no good explanation why.

when I watched GF between purri and david it was kind of hard to believe it was really GF..... half the maps looked like they were playing friendly/practice games.

..just a comment relating with purri's current skill level.

It's not luck. He won silver in the last EDL and gold in div1 in this season of EDL. Gold in div1 euroq2l for one season. Those are solid wins against the best and highest available competition. Being able to compete well against the highest available competition makes you a top player. If the best competition happens to be rusty it's nobody's fault but theirs. If you want to speculate whether or not which player is better, I'm not really up for getting into that. Definitely both Purri and Damiah are rusty, and their performance in the last two EDLs show it. Perhaps their losses against David will give them motivation to show him why they both are q2 legends? : )

Only purri know why his 'motivation' left him, after Damiah, provi, Syanid stop to play q2
even his team play won last euroq2l having few warmup games before official league games

I only said that because it seemed to be nested within your response, which I didn't even understand why it was. That's why I said I didn't want to speculate because it's not a part of the argument. Also because speculating in these situations I think isn't very fun because the true answer can never be reached. All you're left with are opinions based on "what-if's". But since you seem to be questioning my opinion on it so much, yes, Purri was out of shape and he barely lost. So logically he should have won if he was in good shape. However I don't think it's good to dwell on ideas like that so much.
