I knew he was botting.
Chased him for a few maps but it was very hard to spot it, since he was allways running to BFG and rockets.
But its obious when he used the GL in the demo attached.

SuzyQ was playing a bit later, and he pings 260.
He was railing good for such an unplayable ping.

What?  There is absolutely nothing suspect in this demo.  Who would use a cheat then use the BFG or throw grenades.  Are you daft?

And since console revealed he is Darky, apparently you have no idea who Darky is.  Hilarious to me how new players, who probably have never even played Quake2 on a Quake2 server, have no idea who established quality players are from many years ago.  I'll give you a hint, this isn't the game he is best known for.

And for the record, I seriously doubt Darky or SuzyQ have ever cheated.   It is confounding how Alpha, Cajmere, and Dervish are some of the only players who follow the amateur and pro scenes and play with quality players and ARE quality players; yet they are the ones who tend to be unable to distinguish who is cheating.
Instead of tearing people down, why don't you work on building people up?   Or at least wait until there is sufficient reason to tear them down.

I haven't watched this demo yet, but I will say that when I specced him after he told me BITCH might be botting, nothing really stood out. I'll watch it a bit later.

As I said, maybe there is no enough evidences, since he never used MG, CG and Rail was rare..
But that GL jerking on the first demo doesnt seem normal.

anyway, if he is some oldschool player, i apologize for being wrong.
a random alias, with a ping that could be from Brazil or Chile, or wtv and some weird mouse flicks, made me think he was some noob botting.

I just watched the demo. Guy has really, really weird jerky movements at times, but other than that, I don't really see any cheat there; unless it's set to a crazy low FOV.

I dunno, doesn't really look like a bot to me. Only thing I saw was towards the tail end of the the demo when he was in the sewer area. Looked like he was jerking up and down a little bit. Can't really tell if that's a bot doing the targeting, I kinda doubt it, but it's possible. If theres more than one potential target in a certain range from the crosshair position, often a bot will bounce back and forth between the two targets. But considering the rest of the time the player was not locking onto any single targets, then I'd have to give a NO vote on this one.

Furthermore, just for future reference... if someone's smart, they aren't gonna be botting and using weapons like a RL or BFG. The bot will target individual shots directly onto the middle of the player and won't aim at the floor for splash damage, which will stick out like a sore thumb to most people. Most people aren't ONLY going to be shooting rockets going for direct hits 100% of the time. If they're being smart and sneaky, the only weapons they're gonna want to use are single shot hitscan weapons with the bot set to a very low FOV range. This makes it look a little less jerky when spectating the person. They won't want to use sustained fire weapons like a MG, CG, or HB, because the whole time the person has the fire button clicked, the bots gonna be locked dead-on the player it's targeting and will be easy to spot when spectating. So typically your smart and sneaky aimbot cheater will be using railguns and shotguns only to minimize their chances of being spotted.

watched some dm games last night of this guy, walling seems likely, not 100% sure though...

he seemed to look in odd directions most often while walking around, a little up or a little down, like he was trying to keep as much of the map in view as possible...

this demo is not conclusive, but it does look wierd like someone with parkinson's is taking over his mouse on occasion. other times he's smooth and he seems to know the maps/movements..
Playing against that guy the past few days I've seen some odd looking stuff like vae said, and a couple of times where I got hit with a rocket while dancing around him at close range that looked like it came from his butt.

Hard to tell.. wonder how he plays with anticheat, but for me that's a pretty common question.
