The above is a clip of the fictional yet interesting TED talk about the evolution of modern warfare technologies: ranging from internet to bio-weapons. Here we see the specialized interests willing to dabble in the very fabric of life, and explore the dangerous possibilities of nano-weapons, and genetic engineering at all costs. The possibility to become godlike is too tempting, enough so that in their careless quest might end up bring humanity to its knees.

What's ironic about the ad, is that in the end Apple has become the big brother, and the Trojan horse that's now hooked into everything.
Apple which was built on the right intentions, allowed for it's core principles to get overridden, and what some don't even realize it's founder and visionary Steve briefly worked for bush sr. administration.

I'm glad that Ridley Scott who is most famous for Blade Runner and Alien, finally decided to return to SciFi and do what he does best.
His haunting visions serve to remind us of not so distant and bleak future that awaits us if we're not careful.

I think over the years Apple has become rotten from the inside, just like any bloated company with a board of directors who sit in on behalf of foreign interests.
I'm actually reading the Steve Job's biography right now and I find it pretty fascinating in many respects, especially how its spun.
It's always about how one man virtually by his own design, changes the world. It's so ingenious and you just want to believe everything about it, just the way its written.
But does anyone ask about the men behind the men. For example: why did Xerox just decide to hand over all its superior tech to Apple when it did?
Or why Facebook continues to grow and generate so much hype, despite all the privacy concerns?

That's an interesting thought about Steve Jobs. If that's true it would definitely be another reason why Apple is so good at sell its own image. I'm still not sure how Apple is evasive to its own user though. Haven't heard anything yet.

In some weird, strange, twist of fate, I just started working with my local SWAT/Explosives Detection unit.


Warfare prevention/detection technology and techniques are what's truly impressive, because you always need to be 10 steps ahead of the game. Atleast they will be now that I'm in this industry.

It does indeed. As it turns out Ridley Scott still believes in building massive sets to make things appear more real.
And props to him, cause most of the time I can't stand the cheesy CGI which looks very fake, especially anything that has to interact with lights and shadows.
For example: it could never replace the realism and feel of the Blade Runner environments which to this day amaze audiences everywhere!
Prometheus might be the one movie I choose to see in the theater, because I still respect what is a superior, but sadly now: a dying art form.
