fader acts like an annoying immature kid all the time around here... i dont think thats the kinda person we want as having any sort of control on the servers... i sure as hell dont think he deserves it

if youre concern is people aliasing on t4-noalias, you need something better to do with your time.

as for people kicking you off a server, tastyspleen has MULTIPLE servers you can go 1v1 on.

Aliasing at t4-noalias IS a problem. I saw 6 aliases playing on it yesterday.. it's lame though because I usually don't know for sure who it is, typically 3 of these aliases will be like "this is my normal name", so what do I do? let them play or possibly cause quadz a headache by kicking them..?

it's hard to be a "good admin" by everyone's standards.. I feel like I'm either being too strict, or too lax.. I just try to mediate things while avoiding situations like forum drama over me kicking them, or complaining to quadz in irc. It's not the lack of referees that's the problem really...

i think t4-noalias aliasing is only an issue when its causing issues to the players on the server

today with flesh aliasing as something everyone knew, me aliasing as something everyone knew, and kyuss aliasing as something everyone knew, those were no issue

and no one was complaining about any aliasing...

its usually just used as an alternative to t4 and people dont think about the noalias part of that

Yeah but, that's not what t4-noalias is...(t4-noalias isn't the server where people can alias and half or more of the people recognize the aliases). So...

That is why there are plenty of other tourney servers. The name noalias means exactly that.

I'm not sure on the intent, but noalias sure doesn't mean: "i go by gayvictis but I will alias as nubcakes, say lol before and after everything, talk in mm1 during other people's matches, then immediately upon match end, claim a team by jamming on my team join binds"

Something else... I use haunted the vast majority of the time on t4-noalias. All the people who LOVE their secondary aliases, whether it be Near>, hect0r, nubcakes, etc., none of them identify as much with how haunted does to EmmaWatson'sBF. It's been my name in irc for a year and a half, and there are far more references on this site between my two names... yet I still use haunted on noalias. I even saw Slugs ask fader yesterday if he was me in ts-live, on t4-noalias if memory serves me correctly.

I have never taken a strong stance with this, but, you guys are wrong to be playing on t4-noalias with your secondary names. I don't understand what's so important about fighting for your right to do the ONE thing that server is supposed to accomplish; alias-free play. I hate responses like, "it's not a big deal, everyone knows it's me"... when in actuality, if it's not a big deal then just go to a different server or change your name!!! Why do I have to ask people 10 times to do shit like this? Lol... half are quick to listen, half aren't. If the person really wants to challenge me over the issue, and I kick them, half of the people think I'm a dick, and if they didn't then they will after kyuss has been filling their head with garbage in spec all day.

Anyway, I'm not singling you out fader, only 1 or 2 things in there were specifically about you.

Here's the thing though..... I can stop aliasing on t4-noalias, without a doubt. I'll go ahead and start being very strict about this, to see how it goes over(warning, maybe another warning, kick), and that's that. I'll go ahead and make a thread notifying the lowering of tolerance on this server, and let everyone know in IRC. Obvious aliases on t4-noalias... such as "yousuck" "umad?" "ahLICKSfeet" etc. will be warned/kicked without any consideration that it's their real alias......
