Wow, really really terrible lag

Anyone experiencing HORRIBLE levels of lag recently?

I usually get 11 ping, tonight from midnight til 5 a.m. CST I'm pinging 160.  Looks like softlayer.net/networklayer.net is the problem.  Anyone else been having this?  Also, can anything be done about it?

Yes, there's a routing glitch between SoftLayer and (at least) Time Warner.

I've submitted a trouble ticket.

This is a trace from the server to my home IP (in Southern Calif.)  The packets start in Dallas, go off to Atlanta, then Washington D.C., then back to Dallas, then finally their normal route to California.

Time Warner Cable is performing a maintenance on their network equipment in Dallas. Certain TWC routers will be unavailable until the maintenance is complete, which explains the routing through Atlanta. The maintenance is expected to end at 0700 CDT today (1 hour from now). For what it's worth, if you spec someone, you're not seeing other players' movement from the 'viewpoint' of the player you're spectating.

You're always seeing from the server's viewpoint.

theres nothing you can do about your routing.
i have ping 160 just because of a shitty hop in UK where instead of pinging 50, it pings 130.
and wtf, your routing goes thru Hong Kong?

on rare occasions you CAN call the owner of the router slowing you down, and see if there is anything they can do like maybe a router just needs a reset or something.... shit happens and things dont run the way they should some times
