q2rdm2 errors

ok all of a sudden i go to load a demo on map q2rdm2 and it fails toload the textures and the map is all red. its never happened before. i can go onto a server and they still load though. any ideas what is happening?

you probably have the game assets in a sub folder and not baseq2 i know you have them for railz, so go into /quake2/rails and copy the textures over to /quake2/baseq2

You have a virus. Dip a Doobie Brothers CD in 2% milk and stick it in the CD drive, then load any exe from that CD, should fix it.

you may have put the demo on baseq2, and the textures are only on your tourney/opentdm folders
move the demo to tourney or opentdm folders

to avoid this, I cut the textures folder out of every mod folder every so often and overwrite it to the one in baseq2.

That way they're available for all mods.

afaik, I have never run into a texture while doing this that overwrote a different one with the wrong shit, and I have a gig of textures or so.
