Ever heard of the Epic of Gilgamesh? Cuz it predates the Torah. And if the authors of both were still alive, the guy who wrote the book of genesis would be getting sued for plagiarism.

Firstly you have to know the difference in writing styles. The epic of Gilgamesh is viewed as mythological and in poem form almost unanimously by liberal scholars.

There are actually many cultures around the world that speak of a world wide flood, but how do we know which one is true?


Noahs flood occured approximately 4,359 years ago using historical evidence from the bible, where is gilgamesh flood the latest it could have happened was 3000 years ago.

LOL it's becoming clear you haven't actually read the bible, which unfortunately is the case for even a lot of so called christians, catholics (especially catholics), mormons ect.

The bible doesn't say its not ok to have sex, There are teachings about lusting ect but it never says not to have sex.

BUUUUUUUUUUUZZ. Wrong. Went to a Baptist church as a wee little bastard. Graduated from an Independent Fundamental Baptist Christian high school (cuz public school told me to fuck off after my disciplinary folder started overflowing the file cabinet). Even had to memorize most of the book of John my senior year. Fuckin' NAZI schooling, I had. Hated every damn minute of it, didn't believe a word of it, but it taught me good work ethic and how to persevere in uncomfortable circumstances. At the time I graduated, I was actually a card carrying member of the Church of Satan unbeknownst to them. In those days, reading about religion and philosophy of all kinds was my favorite thing to do. The Holy Bible? Yeah. Read it. You ain't telling me shit I ain't heard a hundred times before.

(as a side note: yeah, Church of Satan. Not a member anymore. I was young, dumb, and idealistic in those days. The core philosophy of it is still fine with me, but I want nothing to do with those yo-yo's anymore. It's a pyramid scheme for the most part. It's a decent way to network I guess if you're truly cut out to be among the upper echelon of it, but for anyone else, it's just a way to sit around talking about how you're intrinsically superior to everyone... which is the same shit EVERY religion does. All in all, it's bullshit and it's a good way to freak people out when you show them the card. Then if you're actually serious about it like I was, you end up having to spend too much time explaining that the whole "Satan" thing is actually completely harmless and all in good fun. Who needs that shit? Not me. These days I prefer to be religion-less. I just AM. What am I? I'm fuckin' ME, and that's all I need to be. Anyone who says differently can suck my dick.)

The whole vegan thing though... that's new. Must be something your schism of Xtianity is into though. They all got their own hangups. Catholics, protestants, baptists, lutherans, methodists, etc etc etc. Just like Islam. Sunnis and shiites and tons of others all read the same book 100 different ways too. Xtianity ain't unique. Neither is the fact that because you were born in Australia, you weren't exposed to a Muslim upbringing which is why you aren't Muslim. You think you believe in Jesus and a modern english translation of the Holy Bible because it just so happens to be the one and only book out of THOUSANDS of similarly styled books that's actually true. But since I live in reality and am able to SEE people living in one part of the world and how their geographical locations correspond to their religious faith... I know better. HOT DAMN, I must be some kinda super smart scientist to be able to connect those dots, huh?

And i suspect the reason you are so angry at the bible is because your life style choice does not agree with the teachings and you feel convicted by it refuse to change as a person. Yeah, not gonna walk you through Satanism 101. The info about it is out there. Church of Satan website is probably the best place to start. Although coming from your position, one where I doubt you have the ability to perceive the world from any other standpoint besides one where a white bearded man exists in the clouds, I highly doubt you'll be able to "get" what the basic tenets of it are actually saying. And that's kinda why they were written that way. It's their way of yanking your chain while imparting wisdom at the same time.
