Really hard to balance things without the two slower/thinking maps involved: q2dm3 / ztn2dm2.

And a random thought, I've been meaning to address the NA tdm scene about q2rdm7 and q2duel5.... Two able duel maps that have both been successful in euro leagues. These maps are designed to be played on low ping, whether it was meant by the maker or not, and those who have played these maps competitively and seriously will agree(mainly this is euros). It works out for them though; Europe has closer distances between players, better lines, and better ISP's...in general. Hence in league matches you always see 15 ping v. 20 ping(or even better.. basically never more than 30). But it's simply just not the case in NA... the result being, an entirely new meta-game for the maps developing(in particular on q2duel5) that's moving in an inappropriate direction in regard to competitive duel/strategy... Basically what I'm saying is, there is no way in hell EDL would rock these maps if the majority of match-ups were 90 ping v. 50 ping or so. If you know how these maps are played..........you wouldn't want to play them incorrectly in a competitive atmosphere. NA duels on these maps are really well....... nothing short of silly. Which is why I'd rather lean towards the q2dm3/ztn2dm2 direction I guess, in addition to them exemplifying classic NA. (I'm not saying that I want them to NEVER be used). If some of you played these maps more you'd get a lot better too.. they'd help you start actually thinking on other maps as well :>

So yeah, everyone give me your opinion on this. Stephen, you should comment on this in particular....... although I know have no complaints pinging 20 to tx.

And for sure, I'd love to see q2dm7 as well derv. The weapon choice on that map is pretty awesome and would diversify well with other maps.

As for maps I like q2rdm7, q2dm3, ztn2dm3.

Aerowalk and q2dm1 are my least favorites.

I'd like to see aerowalk used kind of sparingly. Very one sided.... only map there is where you can literally almost get ALL items off of spawn haha.

and yeah astral btw, of course you can participate. Anyone can.

Thanks haunted I know I haven't been playing TDM long, but I have been practicing as I am sure you know. Anyway it sounds like fun.

Any yes Aero walk can be very very frustrating :O

duel5 and rdm7 do result in mostly funny games

probably would play much more headgame intensive with both players rockin 20 ping...

EDIT: im also kinda sad ztn2dm2 doesnt get mroe play, its really fun

and im against dm3... id rather do dm1 than dm3... dm3 just ends up boring headgame or not, and being boring compared to dm1 is pretty bad

could always have a balanced-ish pool with the most popular NA maps, q2dm1 ztn2dm3 and q2rdm2

or you could always go with something like koldduel1 or dkshaft, cause they never see play but are pretty interesting little maps lol

q2dm1, ztn2dm3, and q2rdm2 is definitely balanced ENOUGH to work, no doubt. It's the most obvious combo, IMO.. so I was thinking about not starting out with that initially.

but match1 is such a shitty map :/ its fucking boring.... not the one sided factor... the hiding factor -.- you can literally force half hour games

Why don't we only take suggestions from people who are actually going to show up and play and who don't bitch out of every tournament that's been run in NA q2 in the last 2 years?
