negroidlatte has asked to be unbanned, stating his cheat files have been removed.

But then, he also stated to me directly that his primary mode of enjoyment involves finding creative ways of offending people and laughing at any chaos he can cause. That, plus his disparaging comments with regard to quake2 itself, make me wonder, why bother lifting the ban.

Thus, the poll.

Give him another chance to redeem himself. Something must have went awry before, but he has rectified his dilemma, I assure you.

You have seen me make several posts about trying to save the q2 community and every player in it. So it may sound hypocritical, but i do not think his ban should be lifted. There are some attitudes that can't be saved. i believe he is of that sect. i do not think he has it within himself to change. i think he will drive people away. In the long run, i think lifting his ban would cause the loss of other players. i think he offers nothing positive to the community.

i do believe in redemption also. So maybe it is possible to let him return. Perhaps kept on a short leash, he might show he is human.

Either way, in the long run, i think he will be banned. Whether it is lifted or not. i personally think he has already caused enough damage with his harmful statements. No reason to keep anyone like that around.

I voted to lift his ban until next time as his main offense was cheat files (not active as far as I am aware) and we genearally give players several chances to correct their infraction, his mouth is no worse than [PIT] and we have always tolerated them as an amusement. I think he does indeed get enjoyment from pulling peoples chain but we all have done that in the past and gotten a little enjoyment ourselves.

It was a shame he brought out race (big chain pull) as I beleive TS as a whole has no issue with color, but it made for some LMAO reading for a day or 2.

If his sole purpose is to stir up hate and discontent and/or cheat then he will be banned soon enough and we can have a clear conscience we went the extra mile. Which I think has been a TS claim to fame for being exceeding fair (sometimes maybe to a fault but we took the high road)

Perhaps a public admission and committment on his part, so that the unban isn't misinterpreted.

People, do not suppress him any longer! He made questionable decisions, but surely he will be forgiven for his actions.

It was a misunderstanding and keeping him banned would be unjustifiable. At least allow him to say a few parting comments before he is forever banned.
