Jesus man. Watching all the coverage of the riots after the game... that shit is UNREAL. I remember when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl back in 99 and lost. I live in ATLANTA FUCKING GEORGIA. Yeah, remember where the east coast riots were after the Rodney King shindig? And even HERE they didn't riot after such a disappointing loss. I mean people were a little bummed, sure, but in the end everyone was just happy to see Atlanta actually MAKE IT to the big game. I thought all these Canadians up there in Vancouver were some generally nice, timid, and friendly people, haha! I guess not.

I have to wonder if it wasn't just a bunch of crazy drunk Irish fans from Boston that got it all started, that sounds a little more like it.

The trouble makers that have been arrested or identified were from the surrounding area. Mapple Ridge, Mission, Surrey, Abbotsford, etc. A lot of them were in their early 20s, East Indian, Persian, and White. There has been a Facebook page started for people who took video and photos to post it there and tag people they recognize. Once tagged, they take a screen cap and post that picture so the tags cannot be removed by the identified individuals. The VPD is encouraging people to upload videos and photos to them and will use their data miner to capture faces that will be referenced through Facebook pics.

Hehehe. I know they do that kinda shit ALL THE TIME over in Britain and Eastern Europe for soccer matches, and occasionally we'll blow off some steam here in the States doing stupid shit like that. I was just surprised to see that in Canada. I don't ever recall seeing an angry Canadian mob of sports fans overturning cars and jumping up and down on them like cavemen on drugs.
