Band with their new vocalist, can't say I'm too impressed with him....but the fucking guitar is top notch in this song, top-fucking-notch.

Comparing this song to the one in the last thread you made about them, I like this vocalist better. Not digging the repetitious tapping phrase he accompanies the rhythm riffs with at the beginning and end. To me, sounds like he's trying to play something on guitar that was meant for a keyboard. I don't mind bands that can expand their sound beyond any one genre and experiment and become a little more "progressive" in their sound, but to me it trashes up this song. Other than that, I think it's a good song and I like it. Like I said, it's too repetitious. The way it's played over and over again sounds like something that was written on a synth and transcribed to guitar. Sounds like they're trying a little too hard to fit into some genre they're being told to exist in when the rest of the sound in that song is going someplace else.

This is why I have no interest in being a professional musician, because often the band itself doesn't have the final word in how their album sounds or what they look like or ANYTHING. Everyone thinks rock stars live these cool lives where they make lots of money and can do whatever they want and they're like gods to everyone around them... not true. They're total fucking slaves. They sign a record contract, and then get stuck with some producer in the studio who they often fucking hate who will force them to do something other than what they intended for a song. The producer doesn't give a shit that it's the bands art, he's working for the record company and his goal is to make it sound the way the RECORD COMPANY wants it. And with the way online free downloading of music is going, record companies are tightening their grip on bands balls even more and more.

That's why if you REALLY like some up and coming metal band that plays smaller shows, GO TO THE SHOW. Buy their t-shirts at the show. Buy their CD's at the show. Don't buy the shit in the stores around town, the band won't ever see one dime of that purchase. Last I heard, bands themselves were only making anywhere from 4 to 11 cents per album sold. How fucking pathetic is that? Wait for them to come to your town, go see them, and if you can, walk up to the stage after their set is over and say, "Hey, I downloaded some of your music online and I loved it. But if I buy the album, you'll never get paid... so here's 20 bucks for each member of the band, have a few beers on me."

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
