Hehehe Thanks. But, like I always say - "A ping under 200 is a worthless excuse" - IE unless yer pings over 200, you got no excuse, its a miniscule delay..and yeah, luck lol.. 2on2 you can just choose ur own teams cant you?

All of this will be sorted out later, but only if the team option wins.  Another poll will be created in the Polls board sometime after this one is over, and yes, one of the questions that will be addressed is how the teams will be selected.

I'm over 200... But.. only miniscule delays for below 200?? there is a HUUUUUGE difference between 190 and 20 ping, lol.

as for the tourney, 1v1 first choice, maybe 2's. anything else will not be successful in my opinion. 3's will be too unorganized and you will have to schedule a date that is okay with 6 different people, plus after they are matched up, the likelyhood of them even participating or not... As for rails/ctf, that will run away any decent players that are left, haha.. so 1's, or you could get away with 2's.

Timing this right is a goal of ours.  The turnout probably wouldn't be too great if we started this tournament in January...First we have to try to build up the interest again which was also one of the purposes of this thread.

I personally think that we should have no more than 3 tourneys a year.

I dont think that i will play on it... but i would Reff some matches...(not as much as I did on TST1)

and for those who are impatience.... we can referee some un-official matches, and.. I don't know...create an 'unnoficcial' TS rankin....

My point is that this stuff ca be something more cool if we dont have 'NeverEndingTourney' because if we would like to do that we should be on tourney 1,2,3 servers challenging everyone.

My point is that tourney should mean something NOT very common, something that people should be waiting for. in a few words..... 'ANNUAL EVENT'

I enjoy tournaments a great deal, but I could not help but be slightly disappointed by how slow the 3rd tournament took to finish.

I enjoy tournaments a great deal, but I could not help but be slightly disappointed by how slow the 3rd tournament took to finish.  It seemed as if everyone was burned out on tournaments and that the interest was not there anymore.  It got off to a great start though...Maybe the tournament was too complex overall due to the bracket system.

We have been getting a decent influx of new players as of late, the interest seems to be growing due to this poll, etc.  I was actually looking at a late February/early March start date.  But if I see that people do indeed want to get started soon, then I don't see why we couldn't shoot for an early February start date.  January is not even debatable since we will need time to sign all of you up, and plus we do not know exactly what type of tournament we will have yet.

The Tourney-Team will be addressing these concerns and we will get back to you very soon, most likely in the form of polls and maybe even the sign-up thread too.  Even though we do not know what type of tournament the 4th edition will be, it would be beneficial for everyone to sign-up early in advance.

Tournaments will keep happening as long as the interest grows with them.  The sign-up thread should be full by the end of this month, if not then you can expect the tournament to start in late February/early March unless we can work something else out.

Something to recall.....
