It's not only crashing that seems to happen randomly with R1Q2, but also the client itself will "lag out" randomly. In this scenario, the game will lock up for several seconds, sometimes relooping the same sounds that occurred before the crash. For everyone else in-game it will look like you lagged out (player model is frozen). This one I'm talking about isn't a crash but it's just as annoying.

Is everyone running with the anticheat DLL active when it crashes or is it just the r1q2 client? I notice it seems to be a tiny bit less stable when A/C is active than when it's disabled.

Maybe it would help to know if more memory is being allocated when there's an issue, or have some type of memory dump. As far as analyzing the memory dump, I have no idea how that works, in other words, the r1q2.exe process is crashing, but is there a file of memory contents where you could actually see what functions were executing in r1q2 during the time of a crash. Just the system hanging may be easier to troubleshoot, but yeah I'd imagine only Rich could fix this.

I'm pretty sure every crash I can recall has been with the anticheat DLL ON. I never play with it off, though.

Went months not using R1q2 Just recently switched back. Running R1q2 with ac and no r1gl , I have had probably 3 crashes in less then a week, and probably 3 different freeze ups. Idk what the issue is

if you are having problems with r1q2 then use aprq2 for awhile

Both. But seems more often when anitcheat is loaded..

aprq2 does not work on my computer. Wish it did. Seems a bit better

And as far as rich fixing it, there is much work to do. It would be a nice thing if he could take a look at it.

I can only remember 1 crash in quake over the last 2-3 months, and that wasn't r1q2's fault. (it was a total reboot of my pc)

Works like a charm for me.

I disabled anticheat the other day and haven't had a crash since. Maybe just a coincidence, maybe not
