From that video, I'd have to guess that Q2 jump is harder. From that vid, it looks like people have more control in the air and can still maintain their speed, and remain in the air longer.

q2 jump isnt harder...

cpm has air control yeah, but that just means your expected to go faster lol it also has double jumping unlike normal vq3 physics, and it has ramp jumping unlike normal vq3 physics...

like any quake, unless you have experience in it you didnt notice HALF of the shit in that video even notice the over bounce? you have to be going a flat 0 ups to get an overbounce, and time the jump perfectly...

id say cpm defrag, MAYBE vq3... are both just as hard as q2 jump mod the thing is, q2 jump mod is just slower and more technical... 33 fps for this jump, 26 for this one, 125 for this one... cpm and vq3 are MUUCH more picky about smoothness and angles... even watch that second video in the plasma climbing level, watch how he snaps to each wall to plasma climb perfectly, now go try to plasma climb even half that good on ONE wall

if you want a taste of cpm defrag and have quake3, go get the cpma mod, and download b0_beta6 its not much of a hard defrag map, its more of a practical skills map to actually play cpma, some of the maps are really really simple and easy but some of the maps are still hard enough most cpma players cant finish them even with their simplicity

why dont you own all the quakes o.o its not like they are expensive... you can get the collection with 1 2 and 3 in it for like 20$ or less XD soooo worth it... needed a new disc for q1 so i got the collection got a second cd key for q3 just incase, and a second install disc for q2 just because lol... plus a nice case for all 3
