Yeah, exactly like I said, it's YOU making yourself feel important and superior by enlightening everyone else to the gospel of atheism. You don't give a rat's ass about what anyone else says, you're here to talk and preach, not to listen. In short, you're only here to troll christians and feed your ego by talking down to people. The title of the thread says in a roundabout way what this thread was intended for. And then you have the unmitigated gall to call me out for lack of understanding and acceptance? Fuck you, buddy. I like you less and less with every thread you post in. Not because you're an atheist. Not because you're a christian. But because you're an obtuse visioned moron.

Focalor, you're really hung up on this idea that I'm out to 'preach' atheism, and that I 'look down' on those who don't hold my beliefs.

Fair enough, I guess I am preaching atheism in much the same way that many religious communities preach their beliefs. Are you as hateful towards those religious communities as you are towards me and mine? If not, why not?

As for looking down on people who don't hold my beliefs, I'm sorry if I'm coming across that way. This is just something I feel quite passionate about, plus it's a really interesting topic to debate.

And as for you declaring that you're over discussing such things, well, scroll up and see how many posts you've made... 

Maybe, Foc, you're still a lot more uncertain about the whole thing than you would like to admit, and maybe I'm simply posing some ideas which make you feel uncomfortable because, deep down, you're harbouring similar ideas yourself.

Anything anyone could cite in defence of their religion would be nothing more than a "cop-out" to you so why would you even post this thread in the first place? 

ArmOr, the whole idea of debate is to challenge the arguments of the opposing side... 

Calling religious belief a 'cop-out' is simply the atheist's counter-argument towards religious people who say 'we can never hope to understand god's wonderful plan'. Each is as lame as the other, I guess. Hence the debate...

Not unless they come here. And I don't go THERE because A, it would be rude to go there only to start an unprovoked fight, and B, I have better shit to do than worry about what someone else is thinking inside their head to themselves.

Yes okay Foc. I understand that you have an uncontrollable urge to degenerate everything into a fight, because you don't have the ability to talk about this on any sort of intellectual level.

Also, I think you'll find that there are a whole lot of people 'thinking inside their head to themselves' on this issue. Vis; the decline of the Catholic Church (as one example), and the decline of theism in general, worldwide.

It's funny, isn't it, that theism is gaining ground only in such primitive places as sub-saharan africa, Haiti, and among the Fon tribes of Benin and Togo...

For example, 100 years ago people said we could never fly to the moon. That's what they believed because that's all they could believe at that time.

But what happened? We flew to the moon anyway!

BTW, what actually happens to people who don't believe in your particular god?

I mean, take christians for example, who say that you need to accept christ in order to go to heaven. So, what about someone in Africa or India who never heard about christ? What happens to them? Do they go to hell, limbo, or what?

Would love to hear some feedback on this.
