I found it funny they had the blurs (understandable on youtube) & the bleep but they had "FUCKING" in big 3D letters.

I'd like to point out that the scenes from the trailer follow the leaked information from the demise of 3d realms development team. Also, many pieces of that are actual artwork leaked at the time, such as the statue of duke and the entire outside.

I have doubts about gearbox not FUBARing the project.  I'm not a fan of their recent work.  Personally I'd have more faith Bungie doing it vs gearbox. 

I'll take a "wait and see" attitude though.  IMHO it's kind of like Valve doing the next Doom or Quake because id's owner/publisher sued the rights away from them.   And Valve FUBARed up Half Life.

Y2K only owns publishing rights. From rumors that I've heard, gearbox hired as much of the original team as possible and was working with the blessing of George and Scott from 3DRealms. Although I'll concede that since Y2K owns exclusive publishing rights to this specific title, they had made mention that they would gladly ship the title off to any old dev studio just to get it out the door and the publishing deal over with.


Another rumor has it that the PC version and the XBOX version are different teams, but that I think is just a rumor.

Y2K only owns publishing rights. From rumors that I've heard, gearbox hired as much of the original team as possible and was working with the blessing of George and Scott from 3DRealms. 2K still sued to take the game away from 3DRealms.  And won.  So my comparison still stands.
