could be a boot sector virus on your hard drive... can fix that with a low level format or just replacing the drive

Not if it corrupted the partition itself or the BIOS. That's why it didn't go away until I deleted the partitions and created new ones. Everything is fine now. Thanks for worrying about me though. It's nice to know that you care. Maybe you aren't such a bad guy after all. Friends?

if it corrupted the partition, it woulda gone away when reformatted that partition... if it corrupted the bios, it woulda gone away when the bios was flashed... both of which you said you already did, didnt you? oh well whatever, not my fault you have a limited understanding of viruses or hard drives :/ if you fixed the problem, good for you... you earn a gold star for cleaning off a virus, something anyone who works on computers should be able to do the first try and not have it re-occurring

honestly, if you just think it was a root-kit or something, unless it was multi-partite and went into your boot sector like i said, it would only be re-occurring if you were stupid enough to get it from the same place over and over when you cleaned the computer up, like a torrent site, or maybe a java script on your favorite porn site that your choice of browser/av doesnt pick up when it smashes you

either that, or you could just have an insecure network and a neighbor thats a retard or an ass? intentionally infecting your computer by connecting through your wireless or maybe just jacking a wireless signal and spreading a virus into your network without knowing

but basically... you said you just fixed it by doing the same thing you already did...? or during your previous re-installs did you not format the drive?

oh and btw... just read your post again to check and see... sounds like a boot sector virus exactly like i said

perhaps just located in one of the vbr's instead of the mbr... but come on foc, if you are cleaning a nasty virus off, why not re-do all your partitions and do a full format anyway? just stupid to skip over small shit like that...

here is a suggestion, this screenshot is using gl_coloredlightmaps 0, gl_picmip 150, intensity 2, gl_modulate 2.2, it makes all maps look really smoothe. only thing is you may want to try the fluro skins in my pak because all you will see is black or brown shadows

i considered doin that kinda set up with my client... but... q2 textures dont really cause any problems at all as far as visibility goes

and id rather see shit like weapon textures, just for shits and giggles

some maps i have seen look horrible in their original textures like aerowalk, they look alot better with a smoothe surface

That is definitely smooth. A little to smooth for my taste, the hyper ledge blends into the wall above it. I like maps to have some contrast in textures.
