Those lines are part of the texture, you would need to use an image editor to fill in the lines.

There is a tutorial around here for that I think, might have been for skin textures though.

i sorta did the egypt theme on a few maps. for some reason the lava on some maps is black and the water on q2dm2 is not visible, but here are some screenies
