Round R1Q2 particles?

Is there ANYWAY to get round particles in R1Q2 instead of those UGLY ASS + shaped particles?

Really have to focus in on them to even notice.  I always thought they were round!

apr q2 has a nifty particle effect if you turn it on.  Think those are round.

I could've sworn it was an actual graphic card setting. no, i'm probably wrong. but there's definitely a CMD for it, try the readme or something, or was it gl_ext_particles or some shit

its just a bit larger than the original, and at the recoil the weapon doesnt go up as the normal one.

you can insert your own custom particle shapes/graphics in r1q2 w/ r1gl.

you just have to make a small graphic, call it particle.png/pcx/jpg and place it in your baseq2 folder.
It will probably need to have an alpha channel to look good (a transparent color: if you're using .pcx it's that horrid pink, if you're using .png it can be whatever color you choose to be trans)

after that there's a couple of config commands to make it work the way you want:

this one has to be in there for it to work:

set gl_ext_point_sprite 1

these ones you can adjust to resize the particles so you can see em the way you want.
if you want them all identical, set them all to the same value.

set gl_particle_size "8"
set gl_particle_max_size "8"
set gl_particle_min_size "8"
