in certain areas of the map, you can't pick up items for some retarded reason.

Imagine playing a map wheare you can't pick up any of the important items (ex. all weapons).
pretty retarded going around blasting everyone(using example) while everyone has megahealth and body armor.

You had 170 health,  maybe the mod won't let you get it if your health is at a certain level.

Or,  maybe it's whatever class you were?  I dunno anything about the mod really. 
The shards I'm thinking was also a thing where you were at a certain level.

Like in regular tdm when you have 200 armor you can pick up any other armor,  untill you take some damage.

the megahealth and armor shards boosts over normal max armor. and for this mod, the armor shards give cubes, therfore you should always be able to pick it up. Not being to pick up armor shards is a problem.

I had to Lift the liftable items (packs/runes/etc) out of the glitched zone to pick it up
