Is anyone interested in having a LAN in the northeast U.S. (New England spcifically)? I couldn't host it, but I'd be willing to help in whatever way possible.

I'm just thinking out loud, but it would definitely be cool.

With the size of the community, we could find a hall some where centrally located and coordinate with a hotel, or more likely, get a decent hotel with a hall or meeting area where we could set up a very large LAN.

It would be great to get all of the tastyspleen regulars together in one room. i could have security on hand.

i would work towards something of this nature some time in the future. Maybe in a years time. i would want a commitment of at least twenty people before i arrange something. Just an idea to kick around for a while.

i think the experience of meeting the people i game with is priceless. It really deepens friendships already established.

And that's far from the home of many Q2 players, that being Florida. I'm sure we can find a nice beachfront resort somewhere down here that will do nicely. Probably would take us more than a year to save up for it, but hey, it will be worth it. : )

I'm sure a lot of you people who live up north wouldn't mind spending some time down here.

The idea of visiting Las Vegas is very intriguing, I agree with M^tster. To my knowledge, only one person on here lives in Las Vegas, and that is DtheRaTT. Maybe he could help us find a suitable location to host the LAN.

Northwest vermont is fairly central. Keep in mind, not all of us have the means to travel across the country, so that's why we should have some regional LANs. Northwest VT is close to canada, new york, conneticut, massachusettes, and others. It's quite a nice location.

It's close to the group of Q2 players you live around. But all of us are spread out in groups. There are a bunch of us in Florida, around Texas, and California. I suppose we could make arrangements to have it in Vermont (of all places) if it would work better for the majority.

I'm not in charge of this, I'll leave it up to people like you and Gator who came up with the idea of LANs in the first place.

a lan at the angola prison will be great for peeps in the south, that way, we get the inmates there into gaming, and get their mind off of prison
