I'm not too eager to experience natural disasters, especially floods. Not that you mentioned it, but bad shit like that in general is just a HUGE pain in the ass. I doubt GK lives in what is normally considered a "flood plain". Normal homeowners insurance doesn't cover flood damage no matter what. If you aren't in a flood plain, sometimes you can't even get it, or end up paying ENORMOUS premiums for it. Most people think, "Well, it hasn't flooded in this area in hundreds of years, why should I throw away that much money for flood insurance when I'll probably never need it." There a lot of people out in West Georgia who learned that lesson this past fall. The sky decided to drop a month or two's worth of water in a few hours, and all kinds of creeks and streams ran over their banks and flooded entire neighborhoods up to the roofs. These people had maybe 15 minutes notice, if even THAT much. Hell, it kinda flooded at my house too. The pond out back ran over. Luckily they didn't grade the dam completely level and it was able to spill over just one side of it. If it had run over the middle of the dam, it would've surely washed it all away and flooded the houses farther back in the neighborhood, not to mention the cost of rebuilding the dam which is MY property even though the pond itself isn't.

Hope all your shit is dry GK. I'd be beside myself if some shit like that ever happened to me. I wouldn't even know where to begin to get shit back in order if that happened to me. I'd probably just chain some cinder blocks to my feet and jump the fuck in.

He mentioned something in IRC a few days ago about planning a fishing trip, maybe doing some bowfishing for gars. I wouldn't think the fish would be really active in a flood. I dunno though, it's not like I've ever been in a flood and gone fishing. Honestly... I sure as fuck would though.

yeah I get you foc, ultimately it would be terrible to experience a natural disaster, of course the title disaster probably denotes that quite well, but if you could have the aspect of almost panic, where errything is quite the ruckus, and yall gotta run and evacuate your crib, that would (that particular moment of OMG WTF IS HAPPENING ARRRRRRRRGH RUN FO IT) would be, for me, hilariously fun. the aftermath however, not so much.

I live in a tornado zone and while I have never seen a tornado, I have had a storm go right over my house dropping hail the size of ping-pong balls. Like 7 minutes later the air raid sirens came on because a tornado from that storm had touched down. At least three tornadoes within 50 miles of my house this year and an unknown number of funnel clouds (a lot) . One of my friends had his roof ripped off by a tornado around five years ago.

I live in the hurricane capitol of the world. Come visit me adam, you'd get the excitement without the danger; we have very strict building codes around here so no evacuation needed in practically all cases. In fact, it's such a windy place around here though, I have all the trees in my yard tied up year-round. I've been through several 100mph+ storms that are simply a Northeaster and not some kind of tropical system.

I would love to say this at this point in my life. But, based on unfortunate events, I come to realize that I am thankful for not having my brothers. With them, I wouldn't know what it is to live my own life.

I'm thankful they left my life.

I am thankful for being who I am. When times got tough growing up without a father and no one to look to for help in the house, I was man enough to take care of myself. Shit, I'm thankful for being kickass

im thankful i gots my nefu back! he was in a bad relationship that he broke off. i cant relate to alot of people but im closest to him out of all my family , its back to fishing , renting all types of fights , clubbin whatever haha
