AC dropping a lot lately

Anyone else getting the same problem a lot more lately where it says your connection to anticheat has dropped?

I checked my netgraph right after and it looked clean, so i dont know why it would be dropping :/ if there is an issue id like to get it sorted out before it causes a problem during the duel cup

yeah and it says client is no longer valid, with that on an anticheat forced server like for the cups, i think that it would drop you :/ and if its in the middle of an official round that would SUCK

I never tried playing on a forced AC server yet but its a good point your raised. Maybe someone can offer some explaination of why the drop issue happens and would someone be booted out in the tournament.

If your connection drops,  chances are that the server has lost connection as well.

Don't think the server would drop players for that reason,  but never been on a forced ac server.
Perhaps there is a discussion somewhere on the AC forums concerning this.

yeah ive had the severe lag where it drops anticheat connection, but lately its just been doing it randomly without lag :/ maybe my netgraph isnt telling the whole story eh?

I'm pretty sure the client talks to r1ch's AC server directly.  So that wouldn't be seen by the netgraph.

What's being dropped is apparently the connection between r1ch's AC server and the Q2 client.

I think it would be tres uncool to kick a player mid-game for losing an AC connection when it's not their fault.

The ts servers currently have: sv_anticheat_client_disconnect_action 0

Which warns about the disconnect but doesn't kick.  (Edit: come think of it... I don't know what this means with a forced-AC server... do they get kicked anyway?  Or not?)

Yes, it does open the door for someone to somehow deliberately drop their AC connection so they can load hax or something.

But if the AC connections are being somewhat unstable, I think setting sv_anticheat_client_disconnect_action to "0" seems possibily the lesser of the two evils, on the balance.

thats what im worried about since the silent gamers servers all have anticheat forced :/

No it doesn't kick you It tells you you've lost ac connection and you have to reconnect on map change to get back into the server.
