I'm likely to set up a third server, and let the community vote on the maplist for that server.

How about making all maps available in the mymap list, and let the community vote on the rotation.

Benefits...

• No one's work is excluded from either of the current two server options, as is currently the case
• No need to jump from server to server for the sake of being able to play the full variety of maps available
• The integrity of XRAZY's "ambience" and or "themed" server is still an option, as well as the XATRIX server's mostly classic style maps
• No more pondering where to place maps that don't fit the XRAZY and or XATRIX styled maps. ALL maps would go to this new server, and those maps that are appropriate for XRAZY and or XATRIX would also be placed there

To add a third server and have maps voted in, doesn't solve my desire to be able to play maps from one server, nor does it provide a suitable solution for maps that don't "belong" on XRAZY or XATRIX, and DON'T get voted in to the new server...

I think with some careful thought on this proposed compromise, this could satisfy the majority.

Originally my intent for the third server was to allow the map pool to include any xatrix maps & overrides based on a vote by the players (the community vote I mentioned above.)

However, spawngirl has contacted me on IRC, indicating she does not wish her overrides used on other server(s).

What follows is a condensed version of her explanation:

Xrazy is like a movie chapters secuence: "The mist" "Dawn of Dead" "Space" "cowboys" "Silent Hill" all of them with its own special atmosphere.
Then there is a script in every secuence of maps and I am the director, because I invented Xrazy with a fun purpose, to make something new in quake 2... almost a new mod based in Cinematic atmosphere. Then if someone wanted to make an override then that person should be tailored to my script. I should decide what map, what sounds, what background music etc. Is complicated and Im not asking that and I dont want that.
If you want to play Xrazy maps use "GOTO".
Also Quadz gave me the right of be the "ART Director" of Xrazy. I left my administrator rights but retains the aforementioned.

At this point, from my point of view, it comes down to this:

Bottom line, I think it would be setting a bad precedent to use someone's contributions explicitly contrary to their wishes.  (If anyone disagrees with this, I'd be interested in your reasoning.)

BAH! Spawn Girl you liar! I never said anything about your maps! I always did like your maps and I told you that!  I dont think you should get off LYING like that! Also, I dont act nice to you just for you to insult me behind my back in IRC!

I think if enough people want her overrides on a third server, then you should put them there, because a majority vote would override her choice of not putting overrides on a third server 

Also I stand by my vote on putting all maps in one server for less than a week and seeing how it goes
