Almost cratered against the wall....

Last night I was playing with epitaph against mandingo (eeniemeanie) and kyuss. Partway through, mandingo jumps on the lift when I have blaster, rides up with me, I run off down the upper-rl walk and he rails me off the end. I almost cratered against the wall :lol: . Heheheh I didn't think it was possible to crater against a wall, but I guess if you are moving fast enough....

edit: The second demo is where I chopped out a large chunk of the first demo that was just chat. However, it got skins all messed up.

Are you talking about the 4:00 left in the match mark where you land on the rockets/armorshards platform outside? You had hit the ground there. Even if you hit a wall first, it doesn't subtract from your downward velocity, so you'd have taken falling damage when you hit the ground anyway.

I know that q2 has never had wall splats. I've thought about adding it to some of my mods, and even did something close to it once. You can test it out on any map with ice. Slideways is a good example. You get up to maxvelocity on slideways but can never take damage off of hitting walls.

Oh, while playing I thought I had smacked against the wall so fast that it hurt me :P . You can see how my lag kept getting bad enough it was messing up the demo; maybe that was why I had thought I smashed against that wall.

Yes. The server now identifies as a woman. And apparently it even experiences psychosomatically induced PMS, resulting in intervals of dramatic and prolonged lag.
