I pre-ordered Quake 4 yesterday from Amazon. They are saying an Oct 18 release date, who knows

Next day air shipping.
I should not surf and drink!

I'll wait and see what you guys think of it before I put cash into it.Heard some about it from Qcon'rs.Just wish I didnt hear the word jumpad so much.Strafe jump would be nice to hear!

I don't buy new games very often, so when a new quake game comes out I buy.
Unlike a lot of others here I enjoyed playing Q3, especially RA3, but my connection and the myriad of patches and upgrades the servers have kinda turned me back to q2, but I would like to see a great Q4 single player and multiplayer game.
I am actually jonesing for it

For all the doubters out there thinking Quake 4 would not hit its mid-October release date, fear no more as Activision just let us know that the game has gone gold and is off to manufacturing. The PC version of the game will be shipping to stores October 18.

I pre-ordered from EB Games and they say it's out on Oct 11th, I just have to goto the mall beside my apartment and pick it up when it's released..

I would like a Quake 4 t-shirt, but would prefer a tastyspleen one even more...But that's another issue for another time.

Right now I am seriously doubting that I will like the multiplayer, but I know for a fact that Quake 4 should easily have the best single player campaign. Should be a lot of fun to go through it.

Anyone getting this for Xbox360, or am I the only one? Doubt there are more many console players around here besides me. I plan to buy a Xbox360 sometime very late this year or early next, and Quake 4 will be the first game I will get.

Guess I oughta post more info in a separate thread. I have a few shirts left from a batch of 12 I ordered for quake-con. Unfortunately since I ordered so few, the costs were high. (The cost to me was $20 each.)
