What model of chipset are you running? I used to have a low end dual 3.2GHz and thought it was awesome until I benched it against a high end Dual 2GHz and got smoked.It may be that you have a celeron quad or another kind of entry level processor.I don't know if Q2E uses multiple cores so your processor might be bogged with whatever else is going on at the same time.Good luck.
bad programming doesn't effect one computer & not the rest. It's something with your computer. Maybe the drivers don't support something needed (been known to happen). Maybe you have a bad windows install & now it's showing through. Who knows.
One time the MS duel core drivers broke the internet on my XP install. I could rollback the update & go with single core, or use the update & no internet. Only solution was a complete reinstall. some things just don't seem related to each other, but are.
