your running quake3 on that? thats pretty good
winxp doesnt require alot of speed to run
norten wont slow you down as much on winxp as it does on win9x
i used to run mcafee on my old WinME system (dont get me started
lol)
and it used to slow it down twice as fast as WinMe would on its own rofl
so i was always rebooting every few hours

YAY got r1q2 up and running.. except i cant get on any of the tastyspleen servers.. it says "bad challenge" then says "disconnected from server" .. and since i did this with r1q2 i cant get on with normal q2 client.. have i been banned?!?!

it would say refused connection f you were banned
were there people on the ts servers when you tried to connect?
do you use a firewall, proxy or router? what kind of connection do you have

i tried empty and populated servers.. i use a router, i use ZA plus the inbuilt router firewall.. both are configured to allow me into quake2 servers, i have a broadband 2mb connection from BT (British Telecom) as my isp..

Ahh never the mind! cos it got in perfect several times then did the same thing.. i beleive its my internets fault here, cos thers some web pages its taking like 700000000 times longer to load, + cant get on some, .. i did the add to ZA thing.. but it wasnt on anyway.. it shud be fine tomorow

when your computer cant even run quake 2 in open gl
its time to upgrade
i remember when i first started using it, even my crappy on board graphics used to run it ok lol
just needed more then 32mb of ram
