Just some thoughts :Do you have changed something lately (Something like new/other hardware or another virusscanner or firewall) ? Or new custom quake 2 paks ? Do you get the same problem at the same spot/map when playing offline ?Checked your harddrive with scandisk (chkdsk) and defrag ?Does device manager show some problems ?Bios settings ?Cleaned your computer from the inside (dust) ?Checked the temperature (like fans working, checking the heat from your hardware and computer case) ? Checked for bad capacitors on the mainboard, videocard, soundcard and harddrive(s) ?Checked the connectors/cables inside your computer and pulled cards out of the agp/pci/isa slots and put them back in (with power off ofcourse) ?
Did you have done a ping and tracert to tastyspleen ?Do you use the onboard network card or a expansion slot network card ?Try another network card. Some other things you can check :http://tastyspleen.net/quake/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=5473044cb9c3573f4aebcc3c128ed4c9&topic=7482.msg79783#msg79783----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Quote from http://antiche.at :Low FPS when using NVIDIA drivers and multi-core CPU If you use the latest NVIDIA drivers on a multi-core system, you may notice a considerable FPS drop when using anticheat. This is due to a multi-core optimization NVIDIA tried to implement that causes problems for some games. To disable this setting, open Display Properties and find Settings, Advanced, Performance and Quality, Advanced Settings, Threaded Optimization. Set it to "Off".-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Stable/enough power from the power supply unit ?Checked memory with memtest86+ ?Dont have more ideas at the moment
