A beer with genuine wheat taste, 110 calories, and 6$ a 6pack.........non-existent, right? Wrong.

Bud light 'golden wheat'..... only downside is it's 4.1% alc. content. But whatever though..... it actually tastes good. It's tastes JUST like a blue moon light but way cheaper. Light wheat taste brewed in orange peels, but keeping the calories of bud light and the price? I'd say it's pretty cool.

If you buy a 6pack with normal expectations of an anheiser product you will think it's the best thing since sliced bread, otherwise it's just a semi-decent brew. The price and calories are just awesome though.

nice. I picked 1 up on my way back from school last night.. It's pretty new here so it hadn't even been priced yet so he charged me the regular bud 6pk price. My guess is that it will be 6.50ish, same price as bud american ale (which isn't too shabby either, when you compare beers of similar prices like killians )

But yeah man pick one up and give some feedback. It comes in a bright orange case.

I absolutely LOVE beer.... and to my understanding jager does too, so he knows what i'm talking about(he puts down quite a few as well). For the amount of beer I drink, I really have to take both my diminishing wallet and my diminishing metabolism into consideration. Bud light golden wheat is by no means my new favorite beer, but as I said, it's got a good wheat taste and goes down like complete water(budlight=water), opposed to usual bud light which has NO taste, and goes down like complete water. I only had one that was totally ice cold, but the wheat/orange taste MAY even be better than bluemoon, it's just lighter..not to mention way cheaper.

the shit is good.  Kinda tastes like a lighter version of american ale but still doesn't have a very shallow body.  And you can taste the flavor from the citrus peels but they didn't go overboard at all.  Overall pretty smooth and good for the price.  Tastes like beer.

There are a few decent American beers. Budweiser usually makes total shit though. I don't care what it tastes like, the taste of any of it will never negate the fact that they use formaldehyde in the vats and that's why you get a much worse headache from drinking an Annheiser Busch product than something else with a slightly higher alc/vol percentage, which obviously makes NO sense, right? The more alcohol in it, the more it has the ability to dehydrate you and cause a hangover.

It's like lunch meat. Budweiser products are more like that pre-packaged balogna where they just sweep up the parts of the pig that fell on the floor and dump it into a big grinder. They use barely any hops at all, and the hops they do use are not "choice" like they claim, they are just whatever they can get at a cheap price whether they're bug infested or sprayed with god knows what insecticide. And most foods are like this too, not just beer. I think the American beer consumer is getting largely screwed. In European countries, the beer has a lot better flavor due to the fact that they use more hops. And it doesn't cost them any more to make it that way. The US market has kind of created the situation where only shitty beer is cheap and reasonable.

I'm kind of interested to see how it tastes though. They made a half-way decent beer a while back called something like Annheiser Olde World or something and it tasted pretty similar to beers like Heineken or Stella Artois. It was still nothing I'd go out of my way to drink though when I could simply get a Heineken and NOT be ingesting trace amounts of formaldehyde. I guess it's obviously Bud's version of a light hefeweissen, and hefe is typically a lower alcohol brew.

If you want a decently priced good tasting beer, try Bavaria. A 12 pack usually costs me 6.99 and it tastes just like a Heineken.

After I drink one beer then it doesn't matter what beer I drink, especially draft beer.

I drink beer for four reasons:

It's cold/quenches my thirst after working/yardwork too.

It's a great social drink.  Footbal games, barbecues, hanging out at the bar.

To wash down food.  Great with texmex, but also good for pizza, hamburgers and steaks.

Or to just chill.

I rarely drink beer at home when I'm alone.  If I just got through mowing the lawn and its 100 degrees outside I'll drink one by myself, but thats it.


If I'm gonna get all snobby about drinking it's gonna be about Bourbon or Scotch.

There is nothing wrong with developing a discrimimating beer pallete, but beer snobs never leave it at "This beer is really good!" they always have to say "This beer is really good and if you like Coors Original then you are a knuckle draggin, slobbering, oaf who needs to be drawn and quartered!"

I'm not sure why that is, but it's true.

Ive tried Bud, Bud light, Bud Ice, Bud Lime, coors light, etc. and they are all bad beers that taste like water or sinthetic flavoring... So far, nothing impressed me, so it is still shit for me! 

I may try this beer and my opinion could change, but what ive tried so far, it is not good.

Its like RC Cola, all their products are average, nothing stands out...

I think you're exaggerating a little foc. American beer doesn't have much taste primarily because it's brewed with rice, something that's like 100x more bland than barley. No shit those beers are bad dude, lol. Why do you think I made a thread explaining the irony behind this being a decent product, and how 'epic' it is? When I just want A BEER, a cold Coors Lite is the one for me. It's perfect. No alcohol hammer from liquor - just a nice pleasant buzz that grows gradually.
