I average putting $200 into savings a week. The other day I had about 900$ in my possession...I put 400$ into savings $150 to pay off some random shit and 335$ for 3 nights at this place: www.affinia.com/Liaison (off topic... click the main graphic.... hotel is nice!!)

I manage money decently for my age but I just mean I don't hold it in a high regard like many seem to. If I lose out on money somehow I'm never pissed about it. Unless someone rips me off, I get really damn pissed. but even if that's the case, I always eventually take blame for it myself for even dealing with someone who could potentially do that.

They security looking guy on that webpage, is it the local police chief or a random gay model?Looks 100% gay dude.

The thing with money is, you can buy a really nice house. This guy owns this one and he works in a very competitive industry...

If the other structure outside of the window in the 4th picture is not part of the same house, then I guess his neighbors get a live show every him and Mrs. Woods get it on.

Money is pretty important to me, but it has to be. my uni course + other time onstraints dont allow me to get a worthwhile job so im basically piling up the debt as is every other student in the UK at uni now, last year I tried on just tuition fees and a maintenance grant which was around 2.2k for the year, 800 of that went to my mother for rent/everything (i have it easy at home, not gonna lie - £800 is cheap and the least I can pay) so we're looking at around 1400 to last me a year, which when you factor in £10-15 a week travel, you dont end up with a great deal left for fun after spending money on lunch/breakfast at uni and other misc stuff.

I only just made it through this year and towards the end of this holiday ran out of money and i've applied for the tuition fees, a grant and a full student loan this year to make things easier, since I had to dip into 90% of my 'emergency fund' of £1000 as well. albeit, my computer broke and so did my ipod which are utter neccesities for me :P oh and I bought a new pair of skates lol but other than that yeaaaaaah.

so in conclusion, money is important to me not by choice but neccesity, who wouldnt love it to be carefree and could afford to lose £25 (50 dollars) every now and then but in reality thats a kick in the teeth for most people I think :p

know who sucks with money? women suck with money.

my fiance is horrible with managing money.

currently she quit her job, this was almost 2 months ago. in the 2 months, she joined a gym, and subscribed to several other things, with no money saved. no money to pay for her car, help me pay bills, help me purchase things for our home, so on... so on...

so she is behind in car payments (no, im not gonna help her)... might lose her car. she strikes a deal to pay this up coming friday to make a $500 payment. she got paid $300 two weeks ago for watching my nehpew for a week, got paid $500 this week to watch two other kids for a week. so texts me today while im at work, 'i hate money, i dont have enough to pay for my car this friday'.... so how did some1 blow $800 knowing a pending bill was to be paid. wtf is wrong in their heads?

Uh oh. Do you already live with this woman, like under the same roof? That could end up being something that strains the relationship to a breaking point in a real hurry. Better find a way to get her spending habits on a leash pretty quick. It's not easy to do either, she's probably been that way her entire life, and most people aren't capable of immediately changing/ceasing a habit they've had for an extended period of time. My ex was kinda the same way. She ran through money like shit through a goose, and on top of that, she didn't really have a reasonable perspective about a current financial situation. When I lost my job, (and I don't know what the hell made her think of this bright idea) she thought it would be possible to go out and get an apartment immediately with neither one of us having a job currently nor enough money for a deposit. I tried to explain it to her, but she just wouldn't listen to reason. And so... I rode around with her, going to different apartment offices, sitting there listening to the person describe the apartments and all that... then it came time to talk about how we were going to pay for it. When she told them that we didn't have jobs currently (but that we were GOING to have jobs soon, as if that makes a fucking difference), not a single one of them were willing to rent to us. All it did was waste time that we could've been actually LOOKING for fucking jobs. But that's how she was, I just had to let her see for herself that *gasp* I actually know what the hell I'm talking about.

And I knew that about her personality a good bit before that happened. Just one of the many things that makes me look back and say, "What the fuck was I thinking? Why did I stick around with that stupid cunt for so long?" I almost married that dumb bitch too. Luckily I got my fill of her bullshit before that ever happened and walked away. Love is a fucked up thing. Sometimes it can drown out the screams of your conscience telling you to get the fuck away from someone before they end up ruining you. And I don't really mean to butt in with advice where it hasn't been asked, but from one guy to another, be COMPLETELY AWARE of your own true feelings about someone. Don't be afraid to cut and run just because you have a beautiful history with someone. Sometimes your emotions can overpower your sense of reason and self-preservation and lead to your ultimate ruin.

yeah i've lived with her for 4 years now, she moved in with me the second we started dating... we've been through the money shit people go through, rough times have been had. through it i've learned that she isn't going to learn and like any junkie with a problem, they need to hit rock bottom to figure it out, so hopefully her rock bottom will be losing her car. I understand at this moment and in the past she doesnt take money seriously, she has horrible credit, defaults on anything handed to her, I dont think she has made a college loan payment in almost a year... hell she may even get picked up someday for the ignorance she has regarding bills. she wants the physical thing, and at the time she means well to pay for it, makes a few payments, buys something new, forgets about the last thing she's making payments on. like most people with money problems, she seems to think once she has something, it's hers and that's it. making payments for the item or service becomes an inconvenience so she believes it's optional.

while I understand money rips relationships apart, the stress of it all, frustrations, not meeting goals, im over that, i look out for myself and that's what she wants me to do. i got my own mortgage, everything is mine... would i like her help? of course I would... but I dont expect it really... i put food on her plate and a roof over her head. that may sound like shes taking advantage of me, but the depths of our relationship is unexplainable and I suppose uncommon, i may bitch now and then about her not doing well with money, but money isnt high on my list of cares when it comes to faults she could have or could make.

yeah im a prick to most people, but people under my respect, people I care for, I take care of. If she has a problem, we'll find a way to fix it. So instead of kicking her to the curb, we'll figure out a way to fix her attitude and actions with money.

Sounds like my ex, man I will give some advice, if she doesn't fix her way of dealing with money - your relationship will be doomed.  Again, I am just speaking from experience, but that type of shit can only be tolerated for so long, before it sends the relationship to its grave.

We were living paycheck to paycheck for years, with her constant shopping and just insane spending.  I did everything possible to prevent her, but she was able to find ways around it.  Now that we are not together, I have the same amount of bills, but it is unreal how much more money I actually have...was able to up my retirement contribution to 12%, from just 3% and have a ton left over each month.

Just saying, if two people don't have at least similar mind sets on money, it is very hard to keep a relationship on track.  Good luck though.
