Me? Sci-Fi. Sergej Lukianenko "sternenschatten" (starshadows). Its brand new here(august 2009) and i was waiting to get it after i read the first book of this ?triology? called "sternenspiel" (stargame).
I can recommend it to all sci fi fans out there.

I'll read anything
since my last listing...
Odd Hours - Koonts odd thomas series. GREAT read.
Temporal Void -great sci fi. Second in the series, hafta get the first. next volume due next year
Incandescence - good single sci fi
The Pelican brief -Grisham is great, but these are starting to all look alittle bit alike
The Chamber -...
The partner -...
A secret history of a time to come - post apocalyptic, 1970's style. BLACK POWER BABY!
UFO's from ancient times to the present -70's theory of ufos visiting/starting our civilization
Gold of the gods -ditto, same dude.
Two to the fifth -Piers anthony Xanth novel. more than a few I have to go back to catch up on
Fabric of the cosmos -history of physics up to m-theory, fun read
The Illusion of intelligent design - same thing, different guy
Briefer history of time - Hawkings run down of the same thing, this was like a kids book after the first 2
Shakespears planet -good short 70's sci fi, very stargate-esque.
The girl who loved tom gordon - Stephen king, girl lost in the woods. good short book, single day
Valentine's castle - sci fi fantasy, huge planet, no metal so lower gravity.
The light of other days - amazing book, wormholes developed to extend a "camera" anywhere/anywhen you want!
becomes public domain technology, miniaturized and cheap. End of privacy and serious
crime as you know it. Also end of paying for porn! hmmm, hope that's not a spoiler
and a few more i can't think of ATM
I've been averaging 1,000 pages a week.
Going up now that I'm trying to quit smoking.
Reading has actually been cuttin into my Q2 time
Pissin off the wife a bit too...
Going back for some more Arthur C. Clark, did light of other days and that REALLY impressed me.

Been a while since I picked one up.
I find it annoying when I can't get into certain writers' styles.
My favs though have been Neal Stephenson and Dan Brown.
Dan Brown - Angels and Demons, Deception Point
Neal Stephenson - Snow Crash, Diamond Age
I think Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash should be made into a major motion picture with a very large budget.

The complete Iain M. Banks collection (sci-fi) and about half of his fiction (as Iain Banks) - Reading 'Matter' at the moment - very good read. This is probably my favourite author - Scottish guy - incredible prose and astonishing scale, very clever writer, a truly amazing imagination.
Funny thing I read King's 'Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' a couple of month's ago - used to be a big King fan until his books all turned into wallpaper - I got the impression he was writing to fulfill his publishing contract - more necessity than inspiration.
I'll read anything and everything sci-fi - Arthur C. Clarke = good; Robert Heinlein, Larry Niven (and Pournelle) - Ringworld series was awesome. Orson Scott Card etc etc ad infinitum
All Terry Pratchett books - hilarious!
Ben Elton - all his books too - addictive page-turners.
I always seem to be reading a Red Dwarf book as well (Rob Grant & Doug Naylor), I must have read those books a hundred times each

Rigorous Intuition: What You Don't Know Can't Hurt Them
A very dark book, if anyone cares to go there. It's a collection of some of his blog posts, and starts with Attention Deficit World Order (
part one
-
part two
).

is it good? Just heard that it took 6 years to translate it. Before that it was thought of as untranslateable.
It sure is some heavy stuff to read/work. Is this his best book, what do you think?
