It's sad to think that such calculated horrors are now commonplace. I red lots of history,and crap was FAR WORSE. Rome? Invading the snow niggas to drag them into civilization . Or at least their version of it. A culture can be ancient and noble yet be needlessly complex. The climate of those Northern European countries certainly infuenced the tribe's choices in governing itself.Small scattered groups form aliances and allegiences and fight each other for dominance,or perhaps some tribes didn't need to,living peacefully simply and happily . But Rome did not care to consider their desires when they came looking for trouble and plunder.They slaughtered whole villages man woman and child as punitive retalliations...with long fucking METAL THINGS. We are a race that perpetuates Horror. Most of it Needless,Unneccessary.Negotiate,trade,both win some ? Are the resources these barbarian hordes command worth the trouble of just TAKING,forget about simple trade? Learn what else the barbarians want...just to make money? If I could command a million men,never would I use them to interfere in another's life.I Pity the world.One must.One has to see great frineds and precious children snatched from you in a VAST number of nasty ways. I pity your every breath,the sheer struggle of living,getting hungry and having to stop what you're doing to FEED and then you take Great Big Shits . It's Terrible. Why would anyone THINK of adding to misery like that with some of their own? What greater social mechanism is at play? The Gorilla urge to dominate?Only someone Threatened lashes out. Maybe if Pity was embraced?

Peace equals stagnation, decay, and eventually a fat bloated lazy death. Every so often you must thin out the herd. People who go on these mass murder sprees think in their fucked up minds that they are doing society a service by wiping out some of the insignificant peons, and who knows, maybe a couple of the people he killed or wounded did something or would have done something deserving of such a fate. But even more importantly, THIS GUY is the weakest link of all for attacking virtual "innocents" who really had no chance to defend themselves. THIS GUY is the one who should be phased out. If someone I knew was one of the ones killed or wounded by him, perhaps I'd wish to torture him at length in various unfathomably cruel ways. But then again, probably the most horrible way to kill someone is by doing it quickly with no warning, without giving them knowledge of the reason for it, and without letting them see your face... and from what I gather, that's pretty much exactly what he did to his victims. He deserves no trial, no appeals, no taxpayer footed room and board in a federal prison, only two 30-06 bullets in the back, one through his right lung, and one through his kidney, and let him lay there face down drowning in his own blood.

Golgo, what you're doing is philosophical discourse, which is less bound to the rigidity required of something being a scientific hypothesis. In philosophy, you can take a little more creative control over your thoughts and ideas and explore them, even if they don't factually exactly line up. That's part of what makes philosophy fun.

In this, however, even with it being philosophical, if you really look at it, you're saying there's a mere two forces in the Universe, good and evil. Good and evil is something we made up as humans, the Universe is emotionless and is pretty much just a bunch of random atoms flying around slamming into each other at will. There's no moral compass for this. And even if you put it on an Earth-only level, humans are one of a small number of organisms that feel the level of emotions you're talking about. In fact, we are the only one that understands it on the level we do. The closest animals get to understanding what you're talking about is if you have a pet cat or dog, when you're sad the dog gets sad with you usually, or when you're happy the pet acts the same as well. Keep in mind, however, this is not them recognizing WHY you're happy or sad, they're merely responding to it.

So basically, we humans are the ONLY creature that understands the concept of good/evil, and uses it to guide us through life. The rest of the planet, and indeed the rest of the Universe, does not have this moral hangup.

The ONLY other way this moral thing would be possible would be in alien races from other worlds, which I admit is very possible, and maybe they would have the sophistication of intellect at our level or beyond our level, which would allow them to feel morality.

That is exactly why there are 2 forces in the universe. IMO You seem to take some grey area approach though. Who is the decider of who "Thins out the herd" It's the strongest person right?(Most evolved) I'm sure it wouldn't be to your liking if that person decided to pick you out of a crowd though. So you think the people were innocent, yet people should be subject to eugenics from time to time. The 2 aren't very mutually exclusive in a real society. eventually, it's either Peace or war.

I'm not espousing any type of philosophy really, just pointing out observable things. I'm certainly not suggesting eugenics as a government policy, I don't really have any personal policy on government anymore. The way I see it, it's me against "them", and rather than wasting my time voting or giving a shit, I just try to live my life as transparently as possible. The less contact you have with "them", the less likely you are to warrant their attention when they go wielding their big fucking stick around. It's pretty obvious to me that I'm damn near completely impotent to do anything to "them" as an individual, so if I stay the hell out of their line of sight, I'll be a lot more happy.

I'm not saying that people always DESERVE to be picked off from time to time. Just saying that people ARE picked off from time to time. Sometimes they deserve it, sometimes they don't. Obviously I'd rather see the deserving people end up on the wrong end of the gun. And yeah, who's to say I don't or won't deserve to be in that position one day? The thing is there are FAR more than just 2 forces at work in the world. Each person is their own force with their own perspective of good and evil. Most of the people who do bad shit are convinced they are doing themselves good at least. Unfortunately the population has grown so much that what most individuals choose to do will usually effect someone else. The world is now a 6-billion-way chess match. Eventually everyone loses and has to leave the board, but someone else sits down and picks up anew. From what we've all seen in recorded history, peace is always only temporary. Everything dies. Without everything dying, living means nothing. And the broad scope of time, living really means nothing anyway. Life is just something that happens in the universe for no reason and no purpose. It's only purpose is the one you give it here and now. In another million years, no one and no thing will give a shit. It's a bleak and depressing way to look at shit, but it's the only truthful way to look at it from what I see. People have killed each other for stupid reasons since the dawn of man. At least when man didn't exist, dinosaurs killed each other for food to survive. Sometimes we kill each other to survive. And then we end up dying anyway, and killing whoever we killed was just fucking stupid.

Bottom line, everything is fucking stupid, life is fucking stupid, very little of it really makes any sense, and despite what the drug companies pushing anti-depressants tell you, you really do have every reason in the world to be a miserable depressed wreck of a human being, so just try to enjoy it while it lasts. If you can't enjoy it, then kill yourself. But maybe before you do, think of what it will do to your family and friends first. If you've got no one, proceed and become the eternal nothingness that is death. If you've got someone, maybe stick around for their sake. But if you do kill yourself, at least have the decency to do it in private somewhere. Public suicides are so fuckin rude.

Back on fucking topic now.

Sat up late last night watching some old 70's italian... uh... horror?... movie... I think? I don't really know if it was horror or thriller or suspense or what, all I know is it was god damn weird as hell. It was pretty bad too. Not so bad that I couldn't keep from watching it though, but pretty damned close. Luckily it had a few tits and ass in it, otherwise I might've turned it off.

Nude For Satan - (not even gonna rate it)

I can't fucking rate this movie. One hand, it was some real authentic 70's drive-in horror cheese, which I sometimes like. On the the other hand, it was just really really weird and never seemed to have much of an obvious point to it. Maybe if I was fucked up on some really powerful psychedelics I might've construed some type of deeper hidden meaning from it, but I was pretty stone sober and it just left me feeling mostly confused. And some hot chick name Rita Calderoni showed off her tits and big 70's bush a few times in it.

Would I recommend this movie? I... don't even know. If you like weird shit that confuses you, sure.

It was made in 1974 I think. I'd imagine that in 74 hardcore porn would've been legal in Italy. If you've actually seen it, obviously you can see how it was part of that whole exploitation genre happening in the 70's. In fact, the channel I saw it on, Epix Drive-In, plays quite a few of those 70's exploitation films, a lot of them starring Pam Grier. I just thought this one was a little interesting because while it was definitely part of that exploitation genre, it was also an early 70's Italian film that contained a few elements of Italian cinema at the time, like weird camera tricks that someone like Sergio Leone would've used in one of his many "spaghetti westerns". But if you're asking if it was just an excuse to show some tits and ass on screen... yeah, that was pretty much the whole point of the exploitation film genre. Usually it was your typical "women in a shitty 3rd world brutal prison movie", and of course they always had a couple of group shower scenes as well as a female lesbian warden who was into bondage.

...has been done OVER AND OVER AND OVER, even on into the 80's and 90's and 2000's. The whole Caged Heat franchise of movies (I think there are 4 of them, maybe more) have used that same exact plot in every single sequel, and each sequel isn't even a continuation of the story, it's just a new movie with new tits and new group shower scenes. Hell, I've even seen other movies where they changed it up by setting it in post-apocalyptic times where girls are sold into slavery at some prison camp. I've seen them use the same plot except give it a sci-fi twist and have it set in outer space on some prison space ship. In space, no one can hear you scream... but everyone can see your bush!
