I saw inglorious basterds on monday, a good movie. The best performance in the movie is by far the German A**hole, excellent acting.

One thing i like about Tarantino is that he took real french actors for french. Since im french, it is horrible to listen to a "supposed french" from France that has an english accent (an american actor). He likes authenticity, and doesnt take himself too seriously, thats what i like about his movies. The conversations are always entertaining and its worth your money!

Its very bloody in some scenes, but not enough to look away from the screen.

Q.T. is a genius when it comes to entertainment. His guest directing of C.S.I blew away all the other shows.

Someone who gets it. Some of the best and most memorable dialog in movie history.

In The Bedroom - 9/10

I took my girlfriend to see this movie in the theater when it first came out. I couldn't remember anything about it other than the fact that I did pay to go see it. In those days, I was shitfaced drunk 90% of the time. We went to the movies probably 3 times a week and I probably saw most movies that were ever in theaters from 2000 to 2002... but I can't remember a thing about most of them.

Wow. Definitely not anything about what the title might imply. Quite depressing. Not an uplifting or happy movie whatsoever. But still pretty interesting. Somewhat of a tear-jerker, really. It's about a family from Massachusetts who has a college age son that gets involved with a woman a little older than him. She has 2 kids and jealous ex-husband. The ex-husband ends up going to her house and trashing the place and then leaving. When the college kid gets there, the ex-husband comes back and tries to get in again. He ends up breaking in through the back door when he won't let him inside and then shoots the college kid in the head, killing him. Then it goes on to detail how they all deal with his death. The jealous ex-husband gets out on bail and is probably only going to be charged with manslaughter and do 5 years, which pisses off the college kids family. The father uses a fake name to get a plane ticket, abducts the ex-husband and leaves the ticket stub in his house to make the law think he jumped bail, and takes him out and shoots him and buries him in the woods. Then,... the movie just kinda ends in a strange place. It feels pretty unfinished and unfulfilling. Pretty good acting though. And it's got Marisa Tomei, she's fuckin' hawt. I still thought it was pretty good though, definitely a break from the ordinary format that most movies follow. As depressing and strange as the movie is, it's pretty refreshing to watch a movie that doesn't go in the direction you'd always expect it to take.

One scene in particular that was pretty strange... the kids mother, played by Sissy Spacek, is thumbing through the mail one day after he dies and finds a letter to him from the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes saying that he is eligible to win the grand prize. She starts laughing hysterically, no tears at all, as if to say, "Jesus Christ, they even send this bullshit to DEAD people!"

Inglourious Basterds - 8/10, decent film but a little long winded for me.

Dance Flick - 5/10, figured id enjoy this slapstick comedy but it turned out to be pretty shit.

Enjoyed it, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it... I tend to agree with some of the more negative reviews ("...glacially paced collection of missed opportunities.")

The Devil's Tomb 8/10

Very good for a generic horror film. 8/10 for showing Cuba Gooding Jr. holding a big machinegun on the front cover.

City of Ember 10/10

Great example of good story telling. This is a kids movie though so keep that in mind if you watch it.

Saw it...puked...finished seeing it...faded out.....awoke in a pool of shit.....had to puke again.......
-1/11 this movie causes serious brain issues. I almost got choked out by a popcorn.....the spasms started after 2 minutes into the film....and the cast is....awefull 2

Watched District 9, thought it was a good movie on the whole. I love vikus's accent/way he refers to the prawns in the later parts, the excessive swearing is hilarious! LEAVE THAT FUCKING PRAWN ALONE! lolol
